I replaced a $1200 Polaris with this model, and I’m not sorry. Cleans pool floor very well. Misses a lot of algae on the walls, but gets to most of it after several runs. Would buy it again

The robot came quickly and in tact. Charged it according to the user manual and put it in the pool. It fired right up and cleaned the pool, was easy to clean afterwards. Downloaded the app for the phone, setup was easy. but after one more cleaning I was unable to get it to function any further. Manufacturer has not responded to my inquiry from last week. Hoping that the Amazon support team can assist me. I contacted AMAZON customer service and they immediately provided assistance for me to make a return, and indicated that I would be reimbursed up to $20 of return shipping costs. Unfortunately FEDEX wanted over $300 to ship the item back to AMAZON. I went to Thailand Post and they charged me the equivalent of $240 to ship the robot back, a harsh lesson on an item that cost $599. To further complicate my issue I logged into the tracking system for Thailand Post and they indicated that an exceptional incident has occurred and the "Export cancelled". Lesson learned, buyer beware this product if shipping overseas. I have decided I will continue to be my own "Pool Boy"! ... show more

I like the idea that with the app you can set the unit to run for 4 days at 30 minutes per day and only have to take the unit out of the pool once in the 4 days. It has powerful suction, and the battery lasts 2-1/2 hours. I have mine in an 18 x 33 above ground pool and love it! It's my Roomba for my pool...LOL ... show more

Very powerful motor - does a fast job of covering my 25K gallon pool. I have two big issues with it - 1. Once the battery runs out, I normally find it in the deep end of the pool. Which is not a problem if the water is clear. But the water is green and cloudy at the beginning of the season and again when we come back from Summer break. You can’t find the vacuum and have to keep blindly exploring the pool with a pole to sense it. It should be a simple software fix to clean the deep end first and park it in the shallow end when battery is down to 5%. 2. Fine dust or dead algae on the pool floor is a problem for the vacuum. It stirs it all up and seems to eject it from top. Either a problem with the vacuum intake or size of the mesh basket. The pool is all cloudy after you let it lose. I had to deploy my 10 year old vacuum which is a pain to clean after it’s done but really good with trapping everything. Liked the design of the vaccum and convenience of battery. App works but only if the unit is outside. You might as well press the well designed button on the unit rather than firing up the app. will be returning this vacuum. 9/11/24 Update: The customer service folks at the firm were very prompt in responding and getting my feedback back to their engineering team. They also suggested I spread a cotton cloth on the filter basket when trying to clean fine debris - dust or algae. Nice suggestion but I didn't get to try it out as I had returned the cleaner.
