It’s half the price of other cordless vacuums on the market and costs way less than the dolphin which is a popular brand. I have a large inground pool with an incline into the deep end. It does a great job at grabbing leaves and other debris at the bottom of the pool in the deep end which I normally can’t get to. It’s also good at climbing the walls. Although, just one downside, it gets stuck at the ladder steps I have in my pool occasionally. Overall, I recommend it! I've been bothered by the task of cleaning pool debris for a while. When I used to do a thorough cleaning of my pool, it took ages to drain and manually cleaning was utterly exhausting. I spent considerable time searching Amazon for products like pool cleaners or pool vacuums until a friend's recommendation led me to this machine. Initially, it was the video demonstration that captivated me – wow, could this be exactly what I need? It looks like a pocket-sized tank with strong suction, and it can even climb walls on its own. I didn’t hesitate and bought it right away. When it arrived, it didn’t disappoint. It can work for a long time, thoroughly cleaning my pool, leaving no leaves or debris behind. It completely cleans the sand and debris at the bottom of the pool. While I was enjoying a coffee and sunbathing by the pool, it restored my pool to a clean, perfect condition, making me eagerly anticipate summer and the wonderful time of swimming in the pool. Because this is separate from pool suction it can be used quietly at any time day or night which is great. It works in my spa as well, which has steps on all four sides. I’m lucky to not deal with a lot of leaves, but it even gets the sand from the shore which travels 2+ miles in high winds. Very satisfying to watch. My only complaint is the clamping system for the clear lid. It is very challenging to get locked down due to multiple surgeries and decreased strength. Despite all 5 star reviews I was suspicious as the pool cleaner looked just like several others that were listed by different sellers with different product names, all of which had poor reviews. It arrived a day early and as per instructions I gave it a full charge before putting in the pool where it sunk and then started traveling. Most of the debris was just scattered and maybe 20% sucked in. As it traveled across the pool all of a sudden it would just stop and reverse. Sometimes it climbed the pool wall but most of the time it only went up about one foot and then reversed. The pamphlet said, "China," so I bid farewell to it returning there to its maker and I'm very disappointed in its lack of performance. ... show more

Initially I had reservations as to whether I thought this thing was going to perform well for this price. I will say that I am so far impressed although I have not had a massive amount of leaves hit my pool so far it is performed well and have had little to no problems the only problem I did have is yesterday when it got stuck in between the ladder and the wall and could not get out of it. I will say if your pool is running a little bit full and you have a infinity edge or a low deck it will shoot quite a bit of water out as it backs up onto the tile as it cleaned it. I do have a rectangular pool about 13,000 gallons and it does clean up very well so I would definitely recommend to give it a try and cut the hose if you will ... show more

We wanted a basic robot that we could afford. The early reviews of the crab seemed promising. We have a 20x40 pool with a 9' deep end that takes a lot of work to maintain. We bought the crab and when it showed up we charged it for about 4 hours. It runs about 2.5-3 hours. You really need the app to get the most out of the crab because it lets you select walls, floor or both. By default it does both and that means less cleaning of the floor. We also found setting the speed to slow vs standard meant it picked up more debris. That's really all you can do with the app -- oh, it did download a firmware update to the crab the first time so the app does help with that. The update was super easy. The way it works is that the black rollers in the front of the crab are rubber flap wheels and are directing debris into a hopper made of fine mesh. When the hopper mesh gets filled up it doesn't really pick up as well if at all. So, if your pool is dirty, pull it out and clean the hopper - when our pool was really bad I was stopping it hourly. You just pull the hopper and spray it with water from the outside and the stuff comes right out - cleaning is pretty easy. Well, we've had it for a week now and ran in 2-3 times per day to get caught up. The route it takes seems to be random but eventually it does the whole bottom. The only thing that seems to throw it's ability to clean off is fine sand in depressions or creases where the downward slope meets the deep end. It doing the walls is interesting. The top has a thruster (propeller in a housing) to shove it against the wall. A small perk of this is that water really gets circulated at all levels of the pool. All in all, we are pretty happy. I kept the box just in case we need to return it but it probably has 30+ hours of run time on it now (I'm guessing because some days we did it three times a day and others twice. We are down to once per day starting yesterday). This is what we could afford and so far I am pretty happy. I'll update this if things change. ... show more

It doesn't clean the whole pool. I had it on the all clean mode for 3 cycles and it left areas untouched. It's easy to use and you don't have to turn on your pool pump to run it. A The unit itself is easy to clean.

I can't speak to the longevity of this since I have only had it for a few weeks. But I can say that so far it is awesome! I got it, charged it, and 2 hours later my 24 by 42, 10 foot deep, 36000 gallon pool was clean. On top of that it is much easier to clean out than my previous pool vac.
