( half coils / half foam) They are only available in med. firm. I went from a sleep number to this. There is absolutely no comparison. Love the textured top and it does help with my hips, which sometimes hurt when I sleep on my side. I find it very comfortable and supportive. My only complaint is that I still get pretty hot most nights. The cooling gel seems to lose its cool after I am in bed about 5-6 hours. Tossing off the covers helps some but it is still a bit of a struggle. Overall though I love the comfort. I miss my topper when we travel! If they ever make a travel version I am in! ... show more

Very impressed with ease of opening the package it came in, I let it breath for few days on my floor to stretch out, then used it. No odor after that Thickness was just right. Very comfy and sheets stick to it a little when making the bed, but I assume that would happen with all those type products. Would buy again! ... show more

I bought this for one side of a King-size bed, husband didn't want the extra cushion, but I needed it. Our mattress is very hard, and when I put this on top, I was finally able to get a good night's sleep again. Don't get me wrong this is a very comfortable mattress topper. The issues I have is the California king size is a bit too large for my bed and it slides around. It also tears very easily, I tried to clean a very small spot where my kid spilled juice and the water started to disintegrate the material. I definitely wouldn't have bought this and spent more on a better brand had I known these things. I won't be buying this brand again when the time comes to replace it. ... show more

It sleeps very comfortably. It came in a timely manner and I just layed it out on another bed to air out before putting it on my bed. I would recommend this to other people. Price was also good for 4 inch mattress.
