This is our second year with this pool. Last year I used the cover that came with the pool and it did nothing to keep out leaves and it took a lot of chemicals to bring the pool back last year. So this year I removed the pump and hoses, then added the winter chemicals and bought this cover. I think i bought one size to big, but overall I think it turned out. I had to zip tie the cover to some of the legs to keep it from blowing up in the wind. I also added three inflatable pillows, one already died. I had been worried about water on top of the cover, but found that water helps when its windy. Overall i would recommend, seems to be good quality and about what I spent on chemicals shocking the pool back to life after last winter. ... show more

I can handle the thinness, as I replace them every year or 2, but this cover simply did not fit. I've covered my 30' round pool for 20 years without issue. This one was labeled for a 30' pool in the box, but barely comes over the top edge on each side, just a few inches. I tightened it as much as possible as usual a few days in a row to account for any stretching. Within another week the wind too easily can got underneath and has it off and in the pool. You can see the wiring is still around the edges of the pool wall in the photo. None of my previous 10+ pool covers I've purchased elsewhere on Amazon had an issue as they properly covered the pool edges when tightened (as shown in the ad's picture). NOT HAPPY - now I have to deal with this in November. ... show more

It finally occurred to me to check Amazon for a pool cover. This after buying two others from the Pool places over the last few years. As far as I can tell this is the same cover that I bought from the Pool place except this one cost about half as much. So, yeah, recommended for sure. Also, for what it's worth, I advise that the "best quality" covers are a waste of money. These things last two or three years at most - even the expensive ones, particularly if you live where there are trees of somewhere in the north where you're getting snow and ice. Small branches and other tree-debris (or ice) can puncture these - expensive or not. So, I just buy the less expensive one and accept that I'll likely replace it about every other year. ... show more

This seems to be a really durable cover, we live out in the country and the wind is crazy sometimes! So far there are no rips. I wish it came with some clips like the last one I had did. I ended up using the clips from my old cover to keep it more secure. We have a deck on one side of the pool and the wire fastener cant get down around the pool on that side. We took string and tied it from the cover to the deck railing which seems to be working. It seems to be overly long, there is plenty of slack the long way, but it's tight across the pool. With the water down it pulls quite a bit on the sides. If we used a few pillows that would definitely help, but the ones we bought don't seem dig enough and deflate in the cold air. ... show more
