The media could not be loaded. This item shipped very fast, I like the fact that the read out was in degrees fahrenheit, and that it had ranges for R410A R22, and R404A on the gauges. The gauges were very steady and had been damaged so that there was no vibration of the needle. They even included brass fittings to fit different size Schrader valves. It won't give you professional results, but that's not what I got it for. I needed something that could do a few repair things here and there around the house, and this worked perfectly! Don't expect to run a clean bead around 1/2" thick steel. But for thin stuff, can't beat it!

I am a welder by trade and have been for about fifteen years now. I have had a few machines for home use over the years, and this is one of my favorites. This stick box is so small and portable you can literally throw it in a backpack and go anywhere. It has the ability to run off of 110 or 220 giving you plenty of range depending on your needs. With that being said, if you run 220 get thicker lines the ones provided, or they won't last long. Personally I put a magnetic on mine take things a little easier, but that isn't necessary. As long as you understand the machines limitations this is seriously one of the best machines you are going to find at this price, and I can't recommend it enough. ... show more

    • Good welder, accessories not so much
The welder itself is very nice, especially for the price and given that it works with both 110V and 220V, for that reason alone, I'd say it's a good buy. If you are looking at this as a beginner, keep in mind however that you will probable want to be getting some better accessories to go with it. The face guard is a joke, but not unlike many that come with kits like these. Invest in a good helmet because the guard provided requires you to hold it in place. Since you will want to be using both hands when welding, this isn't the way to go. They also provide you a cheap little brush for slag removal .. it should last about 10 minute, maybe more if you don't have much to weld. But hey, brushes are cheap anyway, go get yourself a better one. The cables themselves are OK, but you may eventually need to upgrade to better hold the electrodes in place, but it's not technically a "must buy". Lastly, a power adapter is provided if you want to use 220V, this was fine, but my outlet was a different configuration from the one provided, so I got myself another adapter.
