I wanted to get a new digital clock since my old clock radio went on the fritz. We received this one and at first thought it would be difficult to set up so it sat in the box for 2 days. But when we did set it up it was super easy. PROS: The clock has large letters/numbers making it very easy to read even from across the room. The letters/numbers are brightly lite up with a button that allows you to brighten it or dim it way down. Along with the time, the clock displays the day of the week, month, date and year as well as the temperature in the room. The clock also has ray to use alarm clock settings. CONS: The clock lights up the room even on the dimmer settings so if that’s a problem for you, I would not use it in your bedroom. Overall, it’s a very nice clock and we are enjoying it very much. I wanted a clock for my home office that was easy to see from anywhere in the room. This clock is awesome. It shows what I need in one glance, day of the week in full, time, temp of the room and month and date in straight forward font. I can even glance at it from the other room and see all the detail clearly. I am not close to being elderly or with Alzheimer or dementia, so I can only imagine what a plus this would be for a parent or Grandparent suffering from that. I've had compliments from 2 different people that saw the clock from the kitchen and commented how great it was. It also comes with 2 USB ports that I use to charge my phone during the day. This is a great clock BUT keep in mind that it IS electric with a battery back-up. It can be hung on a wall or set-up on a desk, like I have it it. It has 5 different brightness settings that are easily controlled by a bar on top of the clock and can be set for at least 1 alarm...it may be 2 but I don't use it for an alarm clock. The pic I attached is from the other room and you can clearly see how easy it is to read. I hope this review helps anyone looking for a good business clock or one for elderly parents that may benefit from a clock like this one. ... show more

    • An underrated gift idea
I cannot express how big a hit this gift has been with older friends and family. I am now up to six total purchased. I first bought one for my mom whom suffered from mild memory problems and depression due to lack of mobility and we got one of these to set in front of her so she could always be aware of the what the time of day was and what the day/date were. It was a great improvement and caught the attention of others who would come visit who asked me to order one for them. This digital divice is excellent for someone who has limited tech savy. The display is large and bright (brightness can be adjusted) and easy to set. And it has not only time, but also day, date and temperature. I will order a second one. THANK YOU AMAZON!

    • Good but a few issues for me
I purchased the clock but returned it. The main reason for the return was that I found it someone hard to read because of the broken line letters and numbers. Another issue was programming it. All buttons were on the back so I had to constantly flip it over to find the appropriate button for setting time and date. Side button would have helped. It would have been better if the lines were solid. It could possibly be an issue unique to me but I didn't like it. On a positive note, it was a perfect size, bright, had a battery backup so it kept the correct reading during a power surge or if unplugged for any reason. ... show more

Love this clock so much. Love knowing the date, day, year and time everyday without getting up close to read like a calendar. Have had no problems in over a year. Like 3 alarm setting. Very readable even outside of bedroom.

This clock / calendar is perfect for those people who lose track of days. My grandmother was having trouble keeping track of what day of the week it is and she was getting her medications off. This clock / calendar has helped her and given us a piece of mind that she is feelin more confident that she is taking her medications an keeping track of her appointments with ease now. Exceeds my expectations! I am sitting about 12 feet from the clock and can easily read the time, day, date and temperature. The temperature is a great addition to the piece and registers exactly as my high end kitchen thermometer. It is dimmable or can be left at a brightness that makes it visible and readable from a considerable distance. It is very easy to set up even though some of the instructions might not be worded to the taste of some people. I think they've explained the setup and use very well. The alarms are easily set and will be very useful for those who decide to use the clock on a bedside table. It can be used as a bedside alarm or mounted on the wall. I've yet to determine where I'll put it to the best use. In my case, I was simply looking for a CLOCK that can be easily read from a good distance. It is just before 6:00 pm on January 6th. I'm adding to my review because this clock deserves the accolades. MOST impressed! My grandchildren walked into my office for the very first time a few days ago and their first comments were about the clock! Forget the fact that I had not seen them for almost a year!!!
