I actually really like this little digital clock. I wanted one for my desk so I'm not glancing at my phone constantly when studying. It's simple and serves it's very basic purpose and I also like the color, it's like a muted pink, not bright. I have no issues seeing the display, the backlight works well: there are three settings for it; you can turn it off or have it on low or high. There's also a button on top of the clock that serves as Snooze as well as a button that turns up the brightness temporarily if you are having a hard time reading the display. You can also set an alarm. I don't need it for this purpose and haven't tested it so I'm not sure how that works or what it sounds like. This clock takes AAA batteries. It is definitely the most high quality clock you can purchase, you can tell it's made of cheap plastic and the buttons/switches seem kind of flimsy, but it's been more than fine so far. You get what you pay for. I am pleased and hope it lasts and will update after awhile if I have any issues. ... show more

This clock checked all the boxes for my needs: It runs on batteries, so it can be placed virtually anywhere and there aren't yet-more-cords to deal with; it's on the smaller side; it shows the time legibly (clean, large numbers that are visible across the room); and it can be used as an alarm clock.
