This is a simple, easy solution to my household storage issues. I have now bought two. My first I use for my many sun hats and put it RIGHT at the backdoor so I am sure to don one before going outside. Anywhere else in the house, even a few feet away, and I'm tempted to go outside without a hat, because it's "just for a minute." Of course, I always end up staying out longer than just a minute. I also hang lightweight long-sleeve shirts on the rack for the same sun-protection purposes. My second rack is being used in the master bathroom right outside the closet door. I use it for clothes I've already worn, but want to wear again before washing. I believe the earth will be better served if we all don't wash our clothes after a single wearing just because we don't have a good storage method to distinguish them from our clean clothes. I like that it's narrow and has an unusual design. I looked at the usual style of clothes racks and found those too large for my purposes, and, frankly, too boring looking. In terms of the stability issues mentioned by other reviewers, I have not found this to be a problem. They seem quite sturdy to me. Absolutely excellent! After moving into a new room with paint that command hooks can't stick too, I needed a new way to hold all my purses. After searching through local stores and online, this product was by far the best price for the best reviews. I'm soo glad I didn't let other bad reviews deter me, and the one with the rack leaning completely to the side, I believe that was improperly put together. *** It arrived well packaged and completely undamaged, except for a small unpainted spot about the size of a dime on one of the rods. Hardly worth mentioning. Arrived with all the pieces. Putting it together took roughly 20 minutes by myself, from opening the package to taking it back to my room completely assembled. All that is provided is an image showing what order the pieces go in from bottom to top. For the price, it is of very high quality, all metal, and wood. No cheapy plastic. The base is very heavy and it is very sturdy. It is the cheapest of it's kind on Amazon for the best reviews. I have in on carpet in my room, fully loaded with all my purses, and it stands straight and strong! I even smacked it a few times to make sure it wouldn't tip over. It's so unique and cute, the rack shipped out on the same day I placed the order, and arrived on time! Great product, I highly recommend it! *** The only thing that isn't mentioned in the instructions is when you put the large wooden rod onto the metal bar on the base, you then place the first of the twisty branch rods on top. When this is done you need to flip it over and use the Allen wrench provided and actually screw the metal rod into that first branch. This is not specified in the instructions, and though it may seem like common sense, I will fully admit it took me a minute or two to figure it out. When not done, the whole rack leans over to one side, as depicted in a picture on a major bad review. *** ****January 2017 update*********** This rack is still going strong with just as many purses as I started with. I wanted a coat rack that wasn’t a boring straight pole. This looks artsy when not in use and yet is functional in use. As another review mentioned, the “hooks” do look a bit phallic — but I’d argue it’s done in a classy, subtle way that adds energy to the design.

    • The product is decent enough
I did have issues with the seller. I'm not going to mince words about that, but I'm completely changing my review because the seller did eventually come through. I had one star, and I am increasing it to four because I actually like this product when it's fully assembled. So here is the deal. I counted the number of hats I needed to hang, and I was so excited that I found a coat rack that had exactly the number of hangers to hang all of my hats plus one jacket. I already have a bunch of hat racks. My one big wish in life was to have a hat rack that held enough hats without stacking the hats or tipping the rack over. I also don't want anything hanging from my wall. I found this. It seemed perfect. Except one thing. It was missing a part. It was a tiny two-sided screw that was used to connect one of the hooks to the rest of the rack. Unfortunately, this now meant that my coat hack didn't have enough hooks to hang all of my hats. That's the entire reason I bought the rack to begin with. So I reached out to eHome, and after a bunch of hullaballoo, they finally agreed to send me the part. I waited the requisite four weeks without receiving anything, so they sent it out again. This time, I got the part and was able to complete the assembly of my coat rack. The actual product doesn't quite deserve five stars because it is a little too easy for a hat to fall off. The actual engineering behind it looks like it lacks a little to be desired. However, it does seem to be pretty well built otherwise. A lot of folks have pointed out that the rack looks artsy. To me, it looks functional. The curves in the base are there to give more clearance to the hats hanging on the rack, and when the rack is full, you really can't see any of those curves. I just think that the curves could have been better utilized to make something that would secure the hats a big better. ... show more

    • A terrific hat rack!
I purchased this rack for our local library so that we might display the various hats we've used for our Story Times with the local kiddos. It is perfect! Whimsical, yet durable and sturdy with plenty of room to show off our lids. Putting it together was simple enough, but I'd warn any other "senior types such as myself" that the base is quite heavy - which is a good thing, but I had to ask my husband for some help in getting the 1st segment of the rack attached as holding it and the base proved to be a little too much for me alone. That said, once it was attached the remaining pieces were a snap to get together and the finished product was worth the little bit of hassle required to get it started. ... show more
