It Climbs rocks its own size with ease. The winch works to aid in any climb but it doesnt lift the truck which doesnt matter. The lights are ok at night. All in all im very happy with it

    • I really wanted to love this Rango Rock Crawler.
I loved the looks of the Rango 1:8 scale Hummer. OMG the features! The controller alone was amazing! You could control the lights, winch, speed pitch, steering pitch, Hi/Low differential and dampen the steering as well. Did I say I really wanted to love this thing! It was just awesome looking. loved the lights, loved the real winch with real stainless steel cable, Loved the 2 speed transmission! Sadly, the tires were horrible as was the entire drive train. All nylon. Tires were out of round and the thing sounded like it was running on 2 cylinders as it ran like a bucket of bolts and bounced like it was on a dirt road running down my perfectly smooth driveway. Like I said, I loved everything about it. Size, looks, lights, and loved the controller. But I could tell it wasn't going to last a week. Try to find customer support as well!     • Took it out a few times after five uses, and problems.
After five uses. The reverse gear no longer works and the car sometimes accelerated on its own sometimes. Reciever is going bad. Shops refuse to work on Laegendary cars. Amazon allowed an exchange for the faulty rig and i got a new one. I added the aluminum chassis and then the back plate broke from the main chassis and now the body has nowhere to support itself from the rear. There aren't any replacements for that part. So I regret this purchase fully. The Gen7 is not expensive and it's servos are weak, but it had to be better than this car. The car grips alright, but without wheel weights it cannot compare to other rigs. ... show more

Great truck for the price but the frame design could've been better but all and all the truck does climb good and would recommend it for the beginner!! Shipping was fast also!!!

    • Cheap plastic. DO NOT BUY.
Not 1 star, but very close: If you're looking to spend more than $300 on a 1:8 scale I would look elsewhere. Cheap plastic pieces. Steering servo is very weak at 9kg. Plastic EVERYTHING except the aluminum brackets that go to the bumpers. Everything else is plastic except those blue pieces. Perhaps I should have gotten the 1:10 scale for some actual strength pieces. The worst is the plastic wheel mount region. EACH AND EVERY WHEEL is wobbly and does not spin straight. This is not a function of the rubber, it's the actual mounts and it's shameful to get a $350 rock crawler that wobbles down the road. ... show more

    • Disappointed compared to my first laegendary RC.
Body rattles body brackets don't seem substantial if you would overturn.. needs upgraded with metal running parts almost everything is plastic on it.. sorry too say very disappointed in quality..
