Originally bought this since this 3pk had the colors I needed to finish an Obi Wan lightsaber I was printing. Overall, I had little to no issues with this filament! I even made a gold Bulbasaur succulent planter since I love the way it shines in the light. After leveling, I didn't have any problems with getting the filament to stick to my build plate. They provided a glue stick to assist with adhesion, but that will be used for some other crafts tbh Another reviewer mentioned the best printing temp for them was a little over 200 degrees. That was true for me as well. The recommended temp listed on the spools is 220, but that was a bit too high imo. ... show more

Printed at 200 with no problems. Definitely shiny on the spools, but not so much when printed flat. I thought I was getting "transparent", but apparently messed up the order and received "shiny". While the filament in the round does shine, flat is more like a bright... I will have to put it all together to see how well back-lighting works. (Note: image indigo band is not from this set - it's purple over blue transparent PETG). ... show more

I love the shine on this filament, but I bought it for some small projects and I have found that it is a little brittle. It doesn't like to flex. I've snapped a few bits when cleaning up supports. It prints a little higher temp then most PLA I've used and sticks Really Well to a PEI build plate.

Used the copper filament using an Ender 3 printer. 36 hours of print time. I was totally amazed that this filament didn't clog or break. Excellent quality. Had to take away one star for the gold filament. It seems to be more brittle than the others. Tried to make the same pyramid in the photo using the gold and it kept breaking inside the bourdon tube. It should be fine for some small projects with direct feed and little retraction. ... show more

    • Pretty resistant to moisture, surprisingly

I've heard that PLA is very moisture-sensitive, but I had mine sitting open in an outdoor storage unit for almost a year. It still works great! No bubbling or anything. Huge surprise for me.

    • Pretty, but not what I had thought and hoped

The media could not be loaded. The filament is pretty, but the photo and description on this listing makes the filament sound like the colors are quick changing. I did not have that experience with the filament unfortunately. My prints printed very well (with the exception of desired quick color transition). I printed with a .4 mm nozzle at a .2 mm layer height. The layers of the prints came out beautifully. There was quite a bit of stringing; but that’s usually to be expected with shiny and silk type filament. I did feel that the final print felt super weak compared to other similar filaments I had used in the past. I say this because after printing an item for seven hours with this filament, one part of it broke off really easily while trying to join it with another printed part. The adhesion to my printer bed was fantastic. For many silk type PLA filament I have used in the last, adhesion to my glass bed usually was problematic; not for this one. All four items that I printed with this filament stuck onto my printer bed very strongly and they popped off very easily after printing and allowing the bed to cool down. This filament is not a terrible filament; it’s just not what I thought it would be. The image on the product page shows what looks like a tree printed with super fast color transition. My color transitions weren’t this fast and the transitions were also not as clearly defined as the one showed in the sellers profile picture. It is, however, still very shiny and while not my initial desired effect, it’s still a very pretty filament. ... show more
