These glides seem pretty heavy duty to me, they glide easily over a rugs edge even if the rug is not taped down... I've taken them over both loose and taped rugs with no problem.. I also like them on smooth indoor and rough outdoor surfaces... these will serve me well !

My mother is going to have hip surgery in a few weeks, and has already been issued a walker for aftercare by the orthopedist. I saw these "skis" and figured they'd be perfect. They were very easy to install on her walker, and now she can glide it across the floor rather than having to pick it up and move it. Seems great! ... show more

These little glides were super easy to install. I wanted something that was "substantial" and will hold up well, especially outside on my walks. The tennis balls I was using were all ratty and looked terrible. These glides work great and they are so much nicer looking.     • so much better than tennis balls
These were easy to install on my dad's walker, and so much nicer to use. He's using them in the house and they are easy to move on the hardwood floors and on the thick carpet as well. The one thing is that I wouldn't recommend having them on a walker that needs to be used inside and outside. We're going to get a second set of these for his other walker... then always keep this one in the house and only use the other one outside. I think these skis will end up picking up little stones and debris that would scratch the floors if you used them inside afterwards. They're so affordable, though... and since he's got two walkers, we'll just get a second set for outside. I have to imagine they'll work much better than the tennis balls outside too! ... show more

I ordered these walker skis to install on a walker that will be used exclusively on a concrete surface. Their hard plastic will hold up much better on the abrasive concrete than tennis balls would. The skis slipped easily onto the 1” diameter tubes of the walker legs, yet they stay firmly attached to the tube. I’m completely satisfied with this product. ... show more

These walker glides work great. They were easy to install and glide easily over carpet and transitions between hard floor and carpet. They also make it easier to transition over the edge of area rugs. They are very sturdy.

Using on a walker for outdoor use. These slide much easier than typical tennis balls on rough surfaces like concrete. Do NOT use them outdoors, then inside on wood, laminate, or other scratch-able surfaces. Tiny bits of gravel and grit get trapped and will scratch like crazy.
