We received this a month ago for our church and had it bolted inside an office cupboard within 30 minutes.     • Impossible to locate any help
So I bought the safe as an early Christmas gift and waited to open it until Christmas day. I was very excited when I opened it up, everything seemed sturdy and well-built, and upon opening up the safe and playing for a second with it, I grabbed the instruction booklet, and the 2 bags inside with items in it, and closed it up. Well after opening the bags, and reading the instruction book I guess I was supposed to HAVE keys that were supposed to be in the safe to reopen with said keys in the safe with door open so I could set my code. Well, there are no keys that came with the safe, and I cannot open the safe up now, because there is no place I have been able to go and find any contact info for anyone associated with this company, I also came to find out it was refurbished, which I never paid attention to when I bought this safe, but regardless, now I have a safe that is locked, and in it has my wallet, obviously inside my wallet is all my info, why is it in the safe? Well, me being excited, when I opened it up and pulled everything out, I out in there my wallet, and a couple of small items that were sitting next to me b/c I wanted to test everything out, and just grabbed what was next to me, and needless to say I was not thinking I would not be able to unlock and get back into the safe. All could be solved if I was either sent a key when I bought the item, or if there was any place I could go and either order a new one, or see if there is a bypass, because when looking up online, including YouTube, this company HAS NO info out there, no videos, email addresses, nothing. So I paid quite a bit of money even still being refurbished, and the amount of time and frustration this has already caused me is unreal! This is my LAST hope that someone might see this and forward it to anyone associated with the company Guveli, or if anyone can direct me to how to open it up without the key I would appreciate it more than you know!! ... show more

Just seconding others mentioning it’s not fireproof—it’s in the title so a bit (or a lot) misleading. It’s about the construction of a steel file cabinet, which is to say a thin sheet of steel, with holes in it for mounting on the back and bottom. Fireproof boxes need to have an insulation layer to protect for some hours in the case of a fire, this is in no way fireproof. Steel is not combustible, but it transfers heat of a fire easily, and begins to weaken or melt in the heat of a typical house fire. Operation is simple, hit “clear” to set a code, then press lock, and it’s locked, just like many simple hotel safes. It will retain the code unless you reset it with a new one when closing the safe. It also comes with a backup key, as well as a USB port to provide power should the AA’s batteries die. It’s fairly spacious and can fit a mid-sized laptop. ... show more

This is my second hotel-like fireproof safe box ... I needed another one for additional safe storage for my condo (limited space) and this again fit the bill. I secured both of them to a closet shelve so I have hidden but easy access from the front opening keypad door. Programming is very easy, predrilled holes make securing it a breeze, and the size allows it to be "hidden." I had an issue with the second one which was easily resolved with customer service.
