I bought this stuff bc my cat gets ear infections and Everytime she starts scratching at her ears I worry so I try and clean her ears out regularly. This stuff is great bc it's not "medication" but it really works. It's a bunch of enzymes that help break down the junk that builds up in their ears and helps soothe the skin. Just one day and my cat will stop itching her ears after this stuff. Fair warning though, if it gets on your skin or your cat's fur, it feels very greasy and leaves a residue. My cat hates ear drops and always fights me and it ends up all over her head and I can feel it in her fur for days no matter how much I try and wipe her fur down ... show more

    • Solid item in the struggle against pet ear gunk.
This has landed for me in the ranks of things that work pretty well on most of my pets, but unfortunately still leaves me with no completely suitable ear cleaning solution for one of my cats. Let me clarify. I have no issues with this formula; it works well, loosens dirt in the ear canal, and doesn't seem to cause any irritation. In all of my animals, except one. I have tried every possible ear cleaner for one of my cats, and every single one, no matter how safe/organic/scent free/few ingredients/etc, has caused him to get irritated, teary eyes and to paw at his head. At this point, I think I have to just call the game and go back to using a little pad dampened slightly to clean the outside of his ear canal, and hope for the best. It's no reflection on this product at all.. it's effective enough to stay with the other bottles I've tried in my futile attempt to find one that works for my oldest cat. The dogs and the other cat all tolerate it just fine, so it'll be used up, absolutely. Just be aware that if your cat is like mine.. you might have to keep trying. Or give up.     • Used this and Ivermectin to finally get rid of cat's ear mites..finally found something that works...
This stuff works great and I used this to clean my poor cat's ears and also bought Ivermectin on Amazon. You might not need to buy Ivermectin too. I bought both this ear cleaner and ivermectin, and this ear cleaner seemed to do a great job on it's own. So, if you have cat's ear mites, try this first because it's not crazy strong and just a good ear cleaner. My cat had a bad ear mite problem so I bought both Ivermectin and this ear cleaner worked within one day at killing and cleaning out most of her ears that were filled with brown, waxy ear mite debris and gunk. Be really careful when using Ivermection*** (separate product)***I used about three drops of ivermectin mixed with jojoba oil and dropped in in my kitty's ears to kill her ear mites. The mites also will crawl on cat's faces and on the chin and look like coffee grinds (that's mite poop, nice, I know) and so run with a cotton ball a little of the jojoba oil/Ivermectin mix on their chin too if you see dirty, coffee grind looking stuff on their chin. This caused a huge flare up in the mites that were living under her chin skin, but it seems to be killing them all and I use a warm wash cloth to loosen the nasty, bloody crust that came up and revealed pink skin underneath her chin. The Zymox cortisone seems to help soothe the pink, new skin too and is like a silicone texture that doesn't sting. BE REALLY CAREFUL WHEN USING THE IVERMECTIN IF YOU BUY IT FOR EAR MITES AND READ ALL THE REVIEWS SO YOU DON'T USE TOO MUCH AND POISONS/KILL YOUR CAT. THAT IS FOR A SEPARATE PRODUCT** IVERMECTIN*** BUT THIS EAR CLEANER IS NATURAL AND PEOPLE BUY IT TO HELP KILL CAT EAR MITES. IT SEEMS TO WORK WELL KILLING EAR MITES AND GETTING RID OF A BAD EAR MITE PROBLEM, YOU MIGHT NOT NEED IVERMECTIN IF YOU BUY THIS SOLUTION FIRST AND TRY IT My cat's had them off and on for 10 years and they are a hassle to get rid of. My cat goes in and outside so she picked it up from outside cats. ... show more

This product was recommended by my dog groomer and my vet for ear hygiene and daily health. I found after 24 hours the musty Oder on my dog’s ear dissipated. It left the canal refreshed. I’d say it is the best of the ear cleansers I’ve tried so far. It goes on like a hand lotion. Medium weight. The bottle is a petite size that packs well for traveling with your dog. Cotton balls are recommended for ear canal wax that may release as you dog shake their head. If your dog likes to get in water and has floppy ears, meaning they’re folding over this is a great product for that chronic issue with the musty wet ears. I hate how animals items are so expensive. I have bought this brand for the life of my dogs, I went to replace through Amazon, my first time versus a store, and I was stunned that it came half the size. Making it so I have to buy more sooner.
