    • Perfect distribution of weight, but pet owners beware!
I have tried multiple weighted blankets, and this woven style is clearly superior to the sand/bead style that can typically be found for cheaper. The biggest benefit of this style is the completely even distribution of weight. Other, cheaper weighted blankets use pockets of some kind of grainy material to add weight, but this material can "bunch up" and cause certain spots to be noticeably heavier than others. If you can afford something the expense, then you won't be disappointed here. But there is one weakness for certain customers... PET OWNERS BEWARE! The fabric used here is weak to cat claws! Our cat was kneading the new blanket, and individual threads immediately started ripping out. We pulled her away from the blanket, and luckily were able to work the threads back in gently. We now keep the blanket away from our cat and haven't run into any issues with the fabric from our own usage. We don't trim our cat's claws, but haven't run into this issue with other blankets. If you keep your cat's claws trimmed diligently, then this may not be a concern for you. I don't have any other pets to test this out with, but dog and bird owners should probably keep this in mind as well when choosing their new blanket. ... show more

It is certainly 20lbs but the weight is more spread out and ot feels lighter than my previous weighted blanket. My cat loves it, I can poke my fingers through the knit and he just plays whacka mole essentially. Chairman Tibbers Approves.

I got this weighted blanket thinking it would give me the comfort of a weighted blanket without making me too hot like another one I have. It is definitely nice and soft, I love the color, and it has a nice weight to it, but since it is a huge knitted blanket, I find myself wrestling with it because my toes and fingers get caught in it. ... show more

This blanket is so great. It is comfy, It is is cute, and it has improved my sleep so much. Before I got this blanket, I was up several times a night and it took me several hours to fall asleep, even taking sleep aids and prescribed medication. When I was shopping for a weighted blanket, I knew I didn't want a solid color, because I'm a little quirky, and I dont do basic. When I found this blanket, I was very excited. I did a lot of research about this blanket, and I read that a lot of people get duvet covers for their weighted blankets, but I didn't want to pout out extra money, and I wanted to feel the material on the blanket as well. So, I took a chance and I got this blanket. First night with my blanket, I got in my bed, and didn't really notice the extra 20lbs on top of me. I also fell asleep very quickly, and I slept all the way till my alarm went off the next morning. As for the feel of the blanket, It is very soft, with the microfiber mink material on the bottom, and the design on the top of the blanket is also very bold and does not look cheap. It is really pretty. The bottom side is navy blue, and the top is navy red, a lighter sky blue, and is also has a few shades of pink in it. It is also worth noting that I have 6 children, and I was a little worried when I order this blanket because a few of them are only in preschool. And they like to bundle up in bed with us in the morning. There is a warning to keep this away from kids, and I'm guessing because of the weight. With that being said, they still crawl in bed with us, but only my side of the bed has the blanket on it. Some like the blanket, some dont. Overall though, it hasnt been a problem with them. I can understand not using this if you cosleep with a baby or a toddler that is not too mobile yet, as it is possible that they may be able to wiggle themselves under in a way that makes it impossible for them to get out. I use this in my recliner when watching tv. It’s so warm that my cats have decided they all wanna lay on me/it when I’m using it. Only downside, you can’t really have bare feet and have this hanging over your feet in a recliner. Lol Your toes will poke through and that’s the only part that will be cold. I just wear socks now so it’s not a big deal. Might not even be a thing if I ordered a smaller blanket. But I wanted the 60 x 80 so I could share with husband on the couch, too. ... show more
