I am extremely satisfied with this purchase! It’s very easy to assemble the packaging is very thoughtful and the tool provided is high quality better than ikea! It’s not rocket science to put it together and it’s all pretty straightforward except the very first step you have to loosen the screw on the head and foot boards to hook on the frame pieces , the instructions failed to put this important first step, I struggled for a good minute trying to latch the frame on the headboard till my buddy pointed out I’m suppose to unscrew it first, Latch it on, then tighten it back up. Duh. Other than this I’m SO impressed with this bed , the lift is really easy up and down, my mattress weighs 70lb and the lift action is still very smooth. It’s important to consider the weight of your mattress , if it’s too heavy for your own strength then of course you will struggle. If you need extra storage space GET THIS FRAME!! So good!! The overall quality is very solid and sturdy no creaking or wobbling of any kind. All the pieces are very heavy. I LOVE the headboard is a ledge I can put stuff down like my phone, a tiny lamp, water bottle, clock, etc. so convenient! Clean simple lines, upholstery is great. The back of the headboard zips open so you can store more things or if you have it against an electric outlet you can unzip to make room for the plugs and the headboard can still fit all the way against the wall. I also had no problem attaching guard rail for when my kid sleeps with me. Seriously everything about this bed is well made well thought out for super functional item. The only issue I have is since the mattress sits right on top and not lower into the frame the mattress tends to slide around, but if You put some grip strips on the slats it should solve that problem easily. If they put some grips on the slats that would be so good. Also, my frame pieces were mislabeled 1&2 so just use common sense. I recommend you layout All the pieces how you’d assemble them before you attach it all together and pay attention to match the pieces to where the screw holes are to make sure you are attaching the right pieces in the right spots.     • Tedious to Setup but Nice

I was inspired by the reviews that said that this took an hour or two to setup. Doing this alone in a very small room took me about 3 hours. The parts are packed within the headboard so the shipping box is quite small. The actual frame of the bed wasn't that difficult to setup. It wasn't until I got to the hydraulics that I was brought to a standstill. The holes to attach hydraulics to the frame were not drilled correctly and took quite a bit of maneuvering to get things screwed in. I'm surprised that I don't have cuts all over my hands. It was at this time that I was pretty sure that assembling this bed was going to lead to some unfortunate accident that resulted in my death. Finally, I had to resort to calling a friend to hold the bed up where I finally managed to get the last two screws close enough to catch and screw in. Then came the handle, another piece that was a pain to get in as it was bent. Now that it's fully assembled, I appreciate the convenience of it although do not let the pictures mislead you. You will not be able to put standard storage bins in there and really the storage area is about as high as my old bed frame. The convenience is just being able to lift the bed and see everything from above as opposed to reaching under and pulling things out. ... show more

    • Great Packaging and Overall Quality

The materials arrive in 1 box. All pieces are in the headboard. There is styrofoam, but each piece is wrapped in clear plastic! Great idea! No mess! The delivery person was able to carry it into my house. I had to open the box and bring the pieces upstairs individually. At 65, it was too heavy for me. The only slight issue I had was aligning the holes to mount the hinges to the insides of the bed. After moving the frame up and down a bit, I was able to get it. An Allen Key is provided, but not worth it. I used an Allen Key Tip with a screwdriver handle. Much Better. A support bar is provided for when you lift the frame to access the storage. I found that with full bedding, a full mattress and a Bunkie Board, the frame has no problem staying up on its own. I'm sure the support bar is provided as a safety measure "just-in-case".     • Long assembly but worth it

It took me a while to get this put together. A couple of the bolt holes didn't line up properly. Overall though its a sturdy bed and worth the money. Like everyone else said, PUT THE MATTRESS ON THE FRAME! Luckily I had read enough reviews before I bought this so I knew what to do. They really should add that to the instructions. The person helping me put it together thought the lifts were broken. She wasn't too sure when I told her we had to put the mattress on to make it work. Once we did it easily went down. It is kind of ridiculous though. They need to figure out how to fix that. It is awkward to lift a mattress up and on a tilted surface. Luckily I had help and I have a rather firm mattress. It would be harder if you don't have help or a more bendable mattress. Besides these couple of issues it was an easy assembly and it's worth it to have the extra storage ... show more

I put that it was easy to assemble I should change it to it was easy for my daughter to assemble :-) I couldn’t figure it out so it’s sat in my bedroom for a couple months till my daughter came over and put it together for me. Granted I have a head injury and so things are normally difficult but it was very overwhelming for me to look at, however my daughter did it in about an hour. Now that I’ve slept on it for a month I love it it’s sturdy it doesn’t creek. It’s great to lift up and have places to take stuff underneath the bed. The one thing I wish is if your mattress isn’t totally centered you can see that there’s stuff underneath. I’m not sure how to change that because I want it as kind of a place to store things kind of like an adult safe in my house. I imagine possibly getting some wood and putting that on the top might change that. Anyways I love it it’s great I’d buy it again ... show more
