I have to say that I LOVE the liquid Super Serum Silk foundation by Yensa. It’s probably one of my all-time favorite foundations, so I was excited to get this and see if it went well with the liquid. It definitely does. I usually like a loose powder for setting my foundation, but this is a really good pressed powder foundation. It took away all the shine away and didn’t feel heavy on the skin. It does work alone. It doesn’t give a lot of coverage when used on its own, but it definitely helps tone down oiliness. I definitely prefer using it as a pressed powder to set my liquid foundation. It gave a bit extra coverage and set my liquid foundation beautifully. It also worked well with all my other base makeup products. It IS on the pricey side, but I’ve tried multiple products from Yensa and I’ve loved them all. I would definitely recommend this product! ... show more

I am a very fair skinned person but when I put this powder on my face it resembled the age of white wig and white face, it is for someone almost ghost white. I was very disappointed there was no sponge or brush to apply the powder so I thankfully had an unused sponge I could try it out with.

I’m normally not a fan of powder foundations because I have dry skin and matte finish is not flattering, but the formula of this one is pretty good. It has a lightweight finish and coverage level, so it doesn’t feel too drying or cakey. It does tend to settle in fine lines if you apply it too heavily, and I think it looks better when applied and blended with a fluffy blush than with a sponge. It isn’t heavy enough to cover blemishes on it’s own, but gives more of a blurring effect. The compact doesn’t come with any kinds of sponges or applicators, but really could for the price. I would have also preferred if there was even a little SPF in it, like many other mineral foundations. Fair 1 was a good shade match for me and wasn’t too deep or warm at all. ... show more

This powder turned out to be much lighter than I saw in the picture, tone fair1. It looks like white flour on the face. In addition, I had a burning sensation on my skin, apparently it was an allergy. This inscription on the mirror is annoying. No sponge included. It's a pity that I can't return it. Since I’ve never purchased a powder foundation in this price range, I was curious to see how this Yensa Super Serum Silk Powder foundation would compare to the Cover Girl foundation that I’ve been using for most of my life. I use the shade Ivory by Cover Girl and ordered the 3 Fair in this Yensa foundation. The Yensa powder is slightly darker and has a slight warm, bronze tint to it compared to the Cover Girl, however, it turns out that the Yensa foundation worked better for my complexion. It seems to be a lighter weight and more transparent while still yielding good coverage. The compact case is easy to open and is beautifully designed in a classy bronze color with a dimensional logo on the top. This foundation doesn’t come with an applicator pad - the manufacturer recommends using a brush for proper application. This makes it less convenient to carry in a purse, since you’ll also need to carry a brush unless you add your own applicator pad.
