  • Really glad I bought this!
Color: White Snow Style: Camera
I'm very happy with this polaroid! I'm a really big fan of photography and cameras and I had been wanting an instant camera for a while. I finally bough this for my birthday to myself. First of all, I had some worries about the quality, I read so many reviews that were not convinced about this camera and I didn't know if I wanted to risk it, so here is what convinced me to buy it. Pros: -No batteries (that I saw were needed in other cameras), this might be something not so bothersome but its 2016 and a camera shouldnt need AA batteries. -Memory Card, you can store your pics, have them on your computer, share them, whatever. I recently used this to take a picture with a foreign friend and was able to give her the picture, knowing that I would have a copy of it. Really cool. -Doesn't look like a toy, I know this might not be an issue for everyone but I am seriously not into any of the designs of the Fuji ones, and believe me, before I made my choice between cameras I saw all of them in person in Urban Outfitters and Best Buy, -Paper can be a little cheaper, its not that big of a difference, but its a plus -Filters, this comes in b&w, regular colors and vintage colors, its cool they come out even more cool (hipster for some people I guess). Also the advantage of being able to have it with or withour border or having the photobooth option. What I was worried about: -Filters, I read some reviews about it coming out wrong, light, etc, I do have to say that color and b&w are perfectly fine, the vintage one is the only one I've had issues with, can't seem to make it work in a way that looks amazing like the other two. - I read about the framing of the picture, how what you see through the eyehole was not what came out in the picture, and its true, but It's not as bad as I read. In reality what gets printed is a cropped version from what you see through the eyehole, so if you're trying to make a lot of people fit into a picture you should try to leave extra space on the sides. -Quality, but as I said before, they come out fine, at least i think so, I had fuji pictures (taken with friends' cameras) and my pictures and they really do seem great to me. Cons: -You need to look up the user guide on the internet, its on the polaroid web page, but everything is there -The lens cover, don't forget to take it off!! - The eyehole/on button is very sensitive and can open at any moment, I bought a case so it wouldn't be a problem anymore. All in all I really thing its a great choice, great price, but I get why people would prefer other cameras. I hope this review was helpful, and sorry for any mistakes, english is not my first language. (Pics uploaded were taken by me, one in the vintage filter, the other one in regular colors) ... show more

  • Turning back time while remaining in the present.
Color: Black Night Style: Camera
REASON FOR PURCHASE: I am an artist. Lately, on my bike rides, I have been shooting photos with disposable cameras and getting them developed, using the images for my work. Disposable cameras aren't cheap, and getting them developed isn't exactly cheap either. It came out to about $25 per camera, including price and developing, and you might not know if your images turned out well. So I did some research into a more affordable, and permanent, substitute. I have a phone camera, and a decent point and shoot, DSLR camera, but both of these are difficult to operate while riding on the bike. Here, you see the edge with a disposable camera. Simply point and shoot, and it's small and hides well in my backpack's side pocket, or my riding jersey pocket. I found this, and was debating between it and the Fujifilm equivalent. PROS: - Affordable. $100 does seem steep, when you look at the size, and the specs, but it is cheaper than the Fujifilm Instax Mini 90. - Small: This stores well on a ride, plus it could fit in my pocket when off the bike - Simple: It has few buttons, and each are easy to understand. Loading the paper is simple, too. - SD Slot: This was the feature that really sold it for me. Like I said, I use the images I take in my work, so when I got my disposable cameras developed I would also get a CD so I had the images digitally as well. With the SD card, I can shoot and have a duplicate saved digitally. - You can also photograph in three different ways. (1) You can have both paper loaded and an SD card as well, which will give you two different ways of saving. (2) You can only have an SD card in, and no paper, and have the digital image. (3) And you can also load just the paper, without an SD card, and you'll just get prints. - The lens cap is magnetic, which is a good feature, and there is a hook for a wrist strap, not unlike one for older mobile phones. - Prints are cheap! But be sure to buy the higher quality, ZINC brand. CONS: - The biggest con for me is the viewfinder. It flips up a bit too easily, and could flip up when in your pocket. Whenever the viewfinder is up, the camera is on, but the camera does have an auto-off feature. I just feel as though, if I'm unaware it's open in my pocket, I could break the viewfinder since it doesn't feel as sturdy as it could be. It's also a bit vague as to what will actually be in your frame. Lots of times I shoot, and think it's framed well, but the resulting image includes much more than I wanted, particularly towards the top/bottom. - The firmware needs an upgrade before use. There should be instructions when you get it. - The print quality is not the best. They have a blue-ish hue to them, and if you're shooting in a bright-light scenario, you're very likely to see a blown-out image. This is possible for better cameras as well, but this also brings me to the next point... - ...The quality of the camera itself could be better. 10MP isn't terrible, but there are many phones with better quality. ***If this is a big thing for you, give it a few months, because they will be unveiling a new model with a 13MP camera*** - It is a bit slick in my hand. I just ordered the silicone sleeve, because I feel as though this might slip from my hand at any moment. There is no ergonomic shape on it to fit to my hand, since the camera has this smooth, simple shape. OVERALL: I like this a lot. This really helps me on my rides, and shooting source imagery in general, and will save me money in the long run. I would recommend this to anyone who wants an instant camera, and wants something simple and easy to use. (If you want something a bit more legit, the Fujifilm Instax 90 is probably the way to go) Photophiles will not like the Snap, due to the lack of quality and it's simplicity, but for me, it works well. ... show more
