I know how helpful pictures are for believability, so I’ll attach one! Don’t judge me, I had no idea what these were for the first couples of weeks. So yes they overran my house for a bit. But that is no longer! We are now free from the clutches of these nasty little 💩’s. I recently moved to Florida, and never in my life had I experienced so many (what I thought were gnats - I’m still unsure what the hell they actually are 😂). For the life of me I couldn’t figure out where the swarms of these pesky little things were coming from. I am originally from up north, where the only things that resemble them that we get are fruit flies. I couldn’t figure out why they were everywhere when none of my fruit was rotten or even remotely bad. Until I did some googling and found out these little demons are called Drain Flies. They live and breed in your drain, lay eggs and come out in SWARMS. I tried every remedy to kill them off. I cleaned my drains, I poured all kinds of chemicals down there. I googled every which way to kill their eggs, catch them. Tried the whole apple cider vinegar, water and soap trick. Where the apple cider vinegar is supposed to attract them, and the surface tension of the soap is supposed to get them stuck and they sink into the water below….noooope! Nothing worked. I’d still see them flying all over the place in my peripheral vision, and to top it off I now had a nasty little vinegar cup hidden in my corner smelling like dooky. I, like every other rational person, ran to Amazon for a solution. And I found LOTS of them. My first go to was going to be that light and fan thing, where the light attracts them and the fan supposedly sucks them in to their demise. I really didn’t care which one I purchased, as long as it worked. I saw the reviews and pictures of this one and figured I’d give it a go, and if this one didn’t work, I’d try the other one I mentioned. Day 1, the first few hours, it caught absolutely nothing. And I thought “greaaat. This thing isn’t going to catch anything and I’m gong to have to deal with this pests for another few days while I wait on another order” Day 2. I woke up, not expecting to find anything, and lo and behold, there were 10-15 flies on it. My prayers had been answered! Day 3. Not going to lie, I forgot I had it plugged in Day 4. I checked again, and this is what I found. The picture attached. Absolutely gross 🤢. Don’t ask, I have no idea how all these nasty little creatures lived in my sink without my knowledge. I must just be that blissfully unaware. I thought I only had a few…clearly I was wrong I’m on like Day 10 now. I waited awhile because I wanted to make sure it continued to work before posting this review. I haven’t seen another fly / gnat besides in the trap, since Day 4, nearly a week ago. Not one. However, the trap is still lit up, and still as sticky as it was on day 1. There is a faint blue glow, it’s a pretty pleasant. It’s just like a night light. It makes 0 noise whatsoever. It’s SO easy to remove and replace the sticky pad. You pull the stick piece up out of the part that attaches into the wall, and slide a new one in. So simple, yet so effective. If you’ve had these nasty little critters flying around your home for far too long now, try it. You won’t regret it. If it doesn’t work in the first spot you put it, move it around. These things supposedly come out of the drains, yet for some reason it catches far more in my bedroom outside the bathroom. So find what works for you. Also, it turns sideways if need be. So if you have a sideways plug, you can still plug it in and swivel it so it’s face up! I hope this review helps some of you choose this, and rid your life of these nasty little buggers!! ... show more

I’m so glad I gave the Zevo Fly Trap a try—these things really work! We’ve struggled with flies around the house, and these traps started attracting them almost immediately. I was skeptical, but these things work pretty well for gnats and ‘drain fly’ type insects. After 1 month of use I only see a lone gnat a couple times per week vs being swarmed by them before. Even caught a couple of larger house flies, which I did not expect it could nab. I have 3 traps strategically located over a 1600sqft home. Light is the only lure, so less effective during the day. i have 3-4 of these around my house , they are absolutely awesome. it catches so many flies you dont even realize that are around you for the most part. highly recommended and the results speak for themselves. either itll catch a bunch of flies, and you can see it easily after couple weeks OR it wont catch any flies cause you dont have any xD anyways for the refills the offbrand ones give you more value, but this device is simply amazing and everybody i have recommended it to has also approved it ... show more

Been having issues with tiny fruit flies or something just like them. Plugged one in my kitchen and one near my plants which could of been where they were coming from. Either way there gone in just a few days. First day or two there had to of been 100 or more of those little pain in the neck flies now I may see 2 or 3 every couple days to a week. Zevo is the only product that I have found to help with fruit fries. I have tried sprays and other products with no luck. When you look at sticky side, it has caught numerous bugs. It does not work on house flies for me. I have a small house with 3 traps.

I was hoping they would catch some of the mosquitoes that sneak in our house, but nope not a signle mosquito. And most of the flies aren't caught. But it does really well with tiny flying gnats that make their way in. I unplug it during the day because it doesn't catch much during the daytime. For the evening, make sure it's the only light in the room for best results. This picture is at the one month mark; 5 weeks worth. I had hoped it would catch more flies, but I will continue to purchase because it catches so many little bugs that I didn't even know were here. ... show more

Like that it's a if and play item. No. Manusls to read, just slide in the sticky side facing the wall, and that's all you need to do. Caught a few minutes gnats which I couldn't see, and a moth that flew in by mistake, and I didn't see. Definitely will buy more inserts when needed.
