    • Best Smoker Ever Used - NO MORE ELECTRIC SMOKERS EVER
I usually don't write reviews, but I am so blown away by this product that I felt I had to write something. Made jerkey in under 3 hours. Heated up quickly and kept temp. I AM IN LOVE. I had a Masterbuilt Electric Smoker for years until the electronics failed and no replacement parts were available. I then ordered a Pitboss Electric Smoker. I assembled it and after first use (seasoning not cooking) the temperature sensor blew out and had to be replaced. Pitboss said it was not in stock, so I shipped that crappy thing back, love PRIME. I have had my eye on a wood pellet smoker for some time, but was not sure whether to splurge on a Taeger. Then I saw this product. The price was right, it came with a cover and a wifi enabled temperature sensor (which I have not used yet, but connected to app). The smoker came 2 days after I ordered it (luckily pellets came same day). Not too many steps to assemble, but ONLY negative is the simple instructions were only pictures and messed up assembling the legs (not a big deal). But came with gloves, nice screwdriver and wrenches so did not skimp on assembly tools. Took about an hour to assemble even with backtracking. Seasoning was very easy and during the seasoning process you get to really see what the Firepit is doing to the pellets, really amazing flame. Once you do a few steps you will start seeing a White Grey Smoke, that is when the smoker is ready for use. So easy to use. Basically turn it to SMOKE mode with open cover. Then wait to see the White Grey Smoke. Close it. Within minutes it get to target temperature, I would say maybe 10 min to get to 180 degrees. Then just start smoking. Jerkey that used to take me 6 hours in an Electric Smoker took 2.5 to 3 hours in this smoker. Hardly used any pellets. The taste was amazing, it is like having true wood hickory flavor. Can't wait to make smoked meats and stakes and maybe a beer can Chicken. Only draw back is it maybe to small for some people so do pay attention to cooking surface, for me it was perfect. Easy assembly with instructions and included tools. I bought this for myself as a Christmas present and am very happy with it. Included two meat probes and the latest PID technology. Heats up quickly and holds temperature accurately throughout the entire cooking process. I took the time to add smokers gasket tape to the outside of the grill where the door meets the grill. Helps seal the smoke and heat inside making it even more efficient. This thing is truly a smoke beast! Great for large gatherings. Bread basket design maximizes space and 3 levels of racks allows you to feed an army. Highly recommended. Update April 2024. Absolutely love this grill with the versatily of having three racks in a breadbox design. If you want to cook a large turkey or a small pig in here you can remove all racks except the bottom one. Thanks to the different size upper racks you have the ability to customize your upper levels to be in the back or front of the grill depending on the side of the item being cooked on the bottom. If cooking burgers, steaks, chops or rib racks the full 1100 sq inches can be utilized. I have not tried making smoked jerky on this but you would be able to make a ton. A very well designed, well built, very solid. It could be improved with outside shelves, a larger chip hopper, although the size is adequate as long as you’re not going to cook past 6 hours without checking it. You could easily add brackets and custom shelving around the unit if you wish. I got this smoke beast on sale before Christmas for 469.00 and I give it 5 stars at that price point and 4.5 at its current price which would be a 5 if it included the extras above. Compared to the Traeger grills which I’ve used and like very much I think the quality of this grill is comparable, given the same company in China that makes Traeger, also makes the Z grills line. Your saving good money while not sacrificing quality. To date I’ve had no problems with my unit. I keep it clean, vacuum it out after every 3 cooks, I keep the lid open during the shut down period to help it cool down faster. Just a little tip there. Oh yeah, the food is amazing. Pizza is wood fired goodness. Vegetables, peppers, all kinds of potatoes, really can cook anything on this. I really love this wood pellet grill and couldn’t be happier with it because it hits the sweet spot in terms of versatility, quality and overall value compared to the larger more established brands at the same price point. ... show more

Bought this for Christmas for my husband. This is the best grill!! You can do anything on it. I can even use it! Easy clean up, grates feel like they are ceramic coated. You can't beat this!

Love the grill so far. It definitely reaches 450 degrees fairly quickly. I actually assembled by myself, but I am pretty adept at most assemblies as usually by myself. Two people would be a bonus, but in my opinion not required if careful. The quality seems very good. I don’t necessarily agree that it can sear as the temp would need to be higher, but I have done steaks twice. When they are nearly done to my liking I sear in cast iron skillet in a little olive oil/butter. Just long enough to get a little crust. Both times they were excellent. The baked potatoes were awesome as well as salmon. I haven’t done ribs or a pork tenderloin yet, but those are on the list to do very soon. Those will be low and slow and will utilize the smoke feature more fully. My biggest concern was if I could do steaks, seafood and other food that needs higher temp and short cook time. I am very pleased. For me the size is perfect, as typically don’t grill for more than 4 or so people. It came with a very nice grill cover that would probably cost $40-50 and a very nice thermometer with two probes, and can add an additional 4 probes. This alone would be another $50, so feel the price was excellent! I love my zgrill pellet grill! The only concern I may have is whether pellets will drop/feed over several hours if totally left unattended, which I don’t know that I feel comfortable doing for a couple of reasons anyway. I am someone that would have to check and confirm that all is ok every couple of hours at least. ... show more
