These are SO much better than the regular cables that come with breakaway switches that I could never figure out how to connect to the vehicle. The large clip makes it a snap to connect to where you also connect your chains. The coil keeps it from dragging or getting tangled. BUT, make sure to get the right length. If your current cable is 4 feet, you’ll need the 6 foot one because the coil shortens it and creates tension. I initially got the 4 foot version and found that the coil creates a lot of tension when stretched out, especially when making sharp turns. After searching through multiple reviews on break away cables on Amazon I decided to go with this on. It just arrived today out the box it seems like it's going to do what it's supposed to. The carabiner seems 'heavy duty' and the important thing for me is that it has a steel cable on the inside. I gave it 4 stars as I haven't used it yet and I would have preferred if they had a 6' option. The 4' will reach but may be a little stretched out. Sofar so good. Works just fine to replace the broken e-brake cable on my 19 foot camper. I like the coiled design as it allows for slack in the cable without having it get caught on something or dragging on the ground wearing. NOTE: this does NOT include the “key” that fits into your trailer’s e-brake switch.
