My garage door is 10 years old and has some squealing wheels. Just replaced them with Dura-Lift door rollers. Glad I did. Well worth the price. Now my door is super quiet combined with Lift Master DC drive door lift. Installation was easy except the bottom wheels that has the cable attached to the bracket. The bottom brackets have two keyhole punch outs that slide into two keyhole slots on the sides of the bottom panels. I raised the door to a good working level and clamped the cable to a bracket with vice grips. pushed up on the door then removed the cable from the lifting dog, removed the two bolts then tapped it downwards then the bracket came off to replace the wheel. All of the other wheel brackets were easy to remove and replace the wheel. It took 1 1/2 hours to do all 10 wheels. I would bet a garage door company would want $300.00 to doo this. ... show more

Pro tip, get some heat shrink and cover the shaft to REALLY quiet down your garage door. And do clean the tracks prior to install. It will very much help the operation of your garage door to be that much more quiet. They seem to be stronger then the minimum required by a bit. Get rid of your old noisy rollers and replace with these. It's very easy to install, just bend the track twords the top of the garage door and pry each roller out and install these and return the track to origional shape, I just used a Cresent wrench to bend the track and a flathead to pry on the door to replace the rollers, it took me a maximum of 8 minutes to replace the rollers and apply heatshrink to the shaft of these. Super easy and safe. Make sure you youtube how to replace garage door rollers safely and do it by bending the track prying the door rollers out of the track to replace. It's the easiest and safest way without a doubt! -cheers ... show more

Garage door maintenance is one of those things that never gets enough attention. As a new homeowner 20+ years ago, I always viewed this essential home convenience as a "set it and forget it" thing. I'd gotten used to the rattles and squeaks over the years and assumed they were just normal. These new rollers showed me how far from the truth that was. These Z-bearing rollers came recommended from many garage door techs on YT. Pros Very smooth rolling. The rollers are nylon and not plastic like the originals. Most rattles and creaks are now gone. My garage door operation is a lot quieter and appears a lot smoother. Cons None so far. Nit pick: There is a little play in the hinge housing for the roller. This is likely normal, but seems to add a little bit to the overall noise of opening and closing the door. I may try out those plastic sleeves that slip over the stems as suggested on some of the YT vids to see if they help any. Overall, installation was made easy by watching (the earlier mentioned) garage door techs on YT. My garage door is an older model from Clopay. Unfortunately, so old, that parts aren't readily available (if at all) anymore. The stems on the rollers are longer than the originals, but still work just fine. ... show more
