We have a 9 month old Mountain Cur, and she’s anxious in general, but worse during thunderstorms, fireworks, and visitors. My cousin has used hemp chews for her dogs, so i tried these. She actually ENJOYS the taste, so it’s a daily treat for her, not fighting pills down her throat, or wasting money because she won’t eat them. Smell isn’t GREAT, but not horrible, just mildly unpleasant. Best of all, it WORKS! She gets 2 a day, one in the morning, one in the evening, to mitigate her baseline anxiety. She’s calmer, more relaxed, and seems happier. If we a bigger stressor, she’ll get a bonus two about an hour before the event (if we can), and she is golden. She actually took a nap yesterday while the contractors were here doing repairs… normally she won’t even really nap during the day, pacing around and panting and anxious. With people over? Forget it!! She’s carrying her stuffie around to soothe herself, and hides under my desk shaking. So for her to deeply nap, in the living room, with them “loose” in the house, is a huge testament to how well they work! ... show more

I have a couple of chihuahua's (one that is young and very hyper) and a couple of older Pitts. They ALL lot the chews and can't wait for their "treat". The treats works well on my black lab and Rottie. I will say that it calms them down for a shorter amount of time than I’d initially expected. I think the dosage is lower that what dogs need for them to be effective.

This is not an on-demand medicine for fireworks or a bad thunderstorm or a vet visit, etc. This is for long term anxiety, like separation anxiety or general anxiety. Being that, it takes a while to kick in. I started giving these to my terribly separation anxious dog on June 3, and it is now June 30. As of the last few days my 15lb ball of anxiety has had almost no reaction to me leaving the house for work or even just going outside to take out the trash like he has his whole life so far. I can go to work without worrying about him screaming and ripping up the floor and walls for hours on end. No more hurting himself, damaging my house, and being a nuisance to the neighbors. He likes the taste and they're soft and easy to break up or crumble over food. They smell kind of like apple cider vinegar. My other dog thinks they smell terrible and will not even attempt to try them, but he's also the pickiest dog alive, so I'm going to go with they taste good. The size is perfect for him to swallow two at a time with no issues as he inhales them like the best treat ever. If your dog doesn't like them, they are plenty small enough to wrap in a pill pocket. ... show more

They stink so bad. Very soft and easy to mix in food…..did not work well with my dog who is an attached to the hip German Shepherd (4 years old 96 pounds). He eats them, but little to no difference and we did as directions said and worked through the entire bottle.

I have tried other calming treats for a 1 yr old golden that we rescued. She's very high strung with zero manners and has destroyed several pairs of shoes and window screens...not to mention some holes in my walls. We were reluctant to take her camping with our other 2 goldens, worried she would destroy the camper interior, come through the door, bark incessantly, or want to run after kids or other people. Started these a couple days before we left and she was a completely different dog. Still had energy but it was manageable. She did great and we will continue to use them as a tool for higher stress situations. We continue to work with her on obedience, I think these will be a good tool to keep her focused. ... show more

Doggos love them, they work wonders. My older pup is still terrified of thunder, these allow her to be more calm. I am a little confused however, as to why each jar smells completely different than the other. I bought the exact same each time, the first had a tolerable vinager/valerian chicken aroma. This one has a burnt kibble poo aroma. It pains me to open the jar lol, but at least the doggos don't mind 😂 ... show more
