Protects stovetop and saves cleanup

I've had an electric range for about a year now, and we've been 'getting to know each other.' I miss my gas range . . . but I don't. It's a toss up, and a personal preference - a weighing of the pros and cons. This silicone protective mat definitely helps me "like" the glass/ceramic stove top more. I
have a very small kitchen, so it makes the stovetop an extension of the counter. That's a big bonus - extra square footage. It also minimizes the schmutz of daily kitchen use - a simple rinse of the silicone mat and it's clean except for occasional food or grease, and that's taken care of with a little soap and water. Great - no time-consuming cleaning of the ceramic/glass stovetop, which in my case is black and glossy and shows every $&*#)@ thing. Anything coming out of the oven, and it goes right on the mat with it's two level surface no worries. We use the stovetop itself daily, and the mat is just rolled/folded to one side or the other, and placed back when the stovetop has cooled off. If there was any small mess left behind, it's covered by the mat until I decide to get to it. Any major use of the stove top, and the mat is moved to the adjacent counter and doubles as a trivet for hot pots/dishes. Overall happy with the construction of the mat itself - sturdy and thick enough to handle hot pots and dishes. And very happy with the quick cleaning of the mat vs the persnickety shiny black stovetop that needs time consuming cleaning to look good. Definitely adds utility to the stovetop as counter space, and saves on time consuming stovetop cleaning by covering smudges and splatters until I can put in the time to making the stovetop sparkle. I'm loving the mat, the cleaning time it's saving and the added function of handling hot pots and dishes. So glad I purchased it. **DO NOT PUT IN THE DISHWASHER!** You will get a splotchy cloudy surface left by the detergent, maybe helped along by the heat (even though I do not use the heat functions, the wash water is very hot). I don't have hard water - it's very soft water. It's been a bear trying to clean off the cloudy residue (boiling water, scrubbing). I'm not sure it'll ever be as black as it was before. This isn't a manufacturing problem. It's how this product's silicone surface reacts with extended exposure to the soap and hot water. So just avoid the headache - !*Hand Wash Only*!

I like the design of this stove cover. It fits well and has raised areas that works well for placing warm items on it. Very easy to place and remove.

No dings or scratches from kids,hubby using stove to set things down on. I say go for it! Nice! Also can choose pattern and color. I have blk cook topp looks great! Quality and convenience for$,slip resistance ,fits like a glove..

I was a little surprised at how thin it is, not sure if it’s a good or bad thing. Cleaning it is a breeze. Nothing slides around on it and it stays put.

Great protection for glass stove top & a Great dish drying cover, too!

When I empty the dishwasher this mat has an upraised surface on one side (FYI: its smooth on the other side) to place glasses and other dishes that might need a little airing-out if I don't have time to dry towel them before storing. hen reverse it to its smoother surface to place items as I am unpacking my shopping. Most of us without professional size kitchens need as much counter surface as possible to make daily tasks easier! This was one of the reasons we stayed with an electric range vs gas upraised burners., we have gotten spoiled using it as another surface. This company provides various sizes so we were thrilled to purchase one that fits our glass stove top nicely - a little short on one dimension but that doesn't affect our uses of it - and it protects that glass top from scratches. Definitely recommend.

This is a nice stove top cover that looks and serves as advertised. It is durable, nice looking, and covers/protects my stove top as expected. I ordered the Gray color, 28 x 20 and pleased to see in my kitchen.

This has got to be one of the best things I have ever bought. I like the kitchen, clutter, free and clean looking and one of the burners on the stove is a mess and this cover keeps it covered up so I don’t have to look at it. I would recommend this to anyone. I love it.
