These so far seem sturdy enough. I had to insert a spacer above their adapter piece to keep it from going too far into the dial. The adhesive on the umber plates is insufficient.

    • Works for my Thermador Cooktop with modification!
Thermador no longer makes knobs for our The CEM304CB/01 Cooktop Part # 00429447 nor are they available on eBay or anywhere else that I can find. The yellow insert in this kit fits the metal controller that the knob fits on. However, as another reviewer pointed out, when you have to push the knob down to engage the switch to turn on the electric burner, without some modification the metal piece just goes further up into the knob without engaging it. Based on his remedy of using packing tape into the space above the yellow insert inside this replacement black knob, I put some folded pieces of cardboard that I tore off of an item box. I used 4 small pieces in one knob before I put the yellow insert in the replacement knob, and that has worked so far. I won't be surprised if I have to replace them or reposition them sometime in the future. I needed a pair of pliers to pull the yellow insert out several times until I had the cardboard packing in just right. Good luck but it's working for now ... show more

They're smaller than the old knobs and to me they look "cheap" which didn't really help the old stove in the way I had hoped. My old knobs were larger but the white lettering was worn off. These fit and are of course clean and new, but they look small and flimsy, comparatively. One other issue, after they were up for a day or two a couple of the aluminum, temp gauge stickers started coming off and sliding around... ... show more

These knobs were a perfect replacement for the old sticky, faded number knobs that had existed on the stove. The only issue is that the metal rings that stick on the knobs do not stick well. Yeah, it seems sticky is the theme. I had to used a super glue to adhere the rings to the knobs. Then every thing worked well. ... show more

    • For knobs that need to be pushed in…please read!!!
Edit: In order to get these to work with stoves that need the knobs to be pushed in, I put a square piece of packing tape (big enough to slightly go around the sides so it’ll stay in place) over the back of the adapter before sliding the knob on. This was a super simple fix to keep it from sliding all the way through. I’m sure other, more durable things will also work, but this is how I did it. Hope this helps! These need a bit of modification if you plan to use them for a stove that needs knobs to be pushed in before turning. I will give credit for all of the options, though. These didn't fit the depth of my previous knobs; they sometimes became stuck when I turned them. None of the stickers matched the flame range on my burners, either; medium was high, etc.
