No trimming to fit like the black mat burner shields. And honestly, these don't look bad. If you don't like how they look, they are so easy to remove when company is expected. Great price for a pack of 50 that will last a LONG time! I don't have spills all that often, so I haven't had to change these out yet. These were really hard to find in stors in this area. (Replacement parts also) These fit the older stove very well and hold up for at least a month on daily use of burners, longer if used less frequently. Great to have extras in the house.
