These days, ink manufacturers, like mot things, want to monitor your usage, and enroll you in a "money savings" program to know how much you are printing and "conveniently" and automatically send you official products at sky high prices to keep you on their wagon. - at more than double the price. This is a way to beat them at their game and have a 100% A1 quality product. Upon insertion, my printer detected that I was using a re-used ink cartridge, I say "ok" and was off to the races again. These are a FANTASTIC alternative to the genuine HP cartridges. I was very hesitant that an error message would come up after I placed these in the printer stating that it was not a genuine part and that it wouldn't work. But it did not! they work great. Not to mention they last a LONG time! For reference I went through about 3 genuine (non XL- just the standard size) cartridges verses 3/4 of one of these doing the same task (both in color and black and white, although the color lost a little bit more than 3/4's) .I was printing the same thank you's over and over (double sided in color on the front, black and white on the back) - so I was able to accurately gauge how much I was using. Have to watch HP has a default error message the cartridge is wrong one. Go to You Tube for information on resetting this message in printer.

I agree with the previous review by Michael. It's a 50/50 chance that these cartridges will work. I bought the twin pack two (2) months ago. My color cartridge records being 3/4 full by the HP printer but has quit putting out Magenta completely. The blue is quickly fading. And this has happened before. I have done two complete deep cleanings of the print heads, and a re-alignment of the print heads. Didn't help. I don't even bother calling customer support anymore these days on such cheap products because they just don't care. I made the mistake of buying their product twice. My mistake. I don't always take the time to review everything that I buy but I felt like I had to when it came to these cartridges. I have bought remanufactured and no name cartridges before and have had terrible luck with them. After reading the reviews for these, I decided to go ahead and try them. I am SO glad that I did. I love this ink. It works with my HP Envy printer, costs so much less than the brand name ink and I swear the colors are actually bolder than those I get with HP cartridges. I was attracted to this initially because of the price. I'm a college student so I print a lot of multi-page papers that require a ton of ink. So 2 XL cartridges was a steal for 30 bucks. Especially being that the XL Hp brand cartridges are 35 for one. I was pleasantly surprised at how well these are holding up. I recently printed 20+ pages and a separate article that was roughly 5 and there is no sign of the ink running out. It prints evenly and I had no trouble installing it (I have bought off brand printer ink cartridges that haven't fit properly.) So far, I'm impressed with the price.
