The media could not be loaded. Where do I start? First, this is a 2022 review, so maybe this company has made some positive changes since the 2020 etc reviews. I read every and I do mean every review. I was just as afraid to buy this bench as any other one. So I started narrowing the dangerous complaints down, the ones where people complained about the seat not holding up under pressure. I noticed that this particular bench didn’t have those complaints, maybe one or two but I read so many I might mixing other bench’s reviews. All the people complaining about adjusting, don’t listen to them, there’s other things going on in their lives if they chose to complain about that. Adjusting is simple easy and quick. I mean if you have 5-6 seconds to spare. Also the gap in between the seat and back rest is not NEARLY as bad as the complaints were. Maybe it’s a height thing but you can lay a towel there and have no problems. Now… the other complaint that got me was that the bench isn’t sturdy enough. As you’ll see the bench comes already assembled but c’mon people, I’m sure these things are being cranked out on a conveyor belt so everything is put together so that the bench makes it to us in one piece. YOU HAVE TO GO BACK AND TIGHTEN EVERY SCREW THAT YOU CAN WITH THE TOOL THEY PROVIDE. You will see there is a lot of tightening still left to do. Which might explain the stability. Also the rods on the back of the seat and back support need to be tightened “just” a little more but they don’t provide that tool,(they should) It’s the same as the one you have but one size up. I had the tool but don’t know the size, sorry. Once I tightened everything I saw the bench was night and day… I’m 250 lbs and I immediately threw another 205 lbs on and started bench pressing. The seat went down under the pressure… but that was bc I FORGOT TO LOCK THE SUPPORT PIN BACK IN PLACE. A MUST! Pin in place, seat didn’t budge at all. So remember TIGHTEN FIRST, and make sure support pins are secured. Now those tiny baby pads to hold your feet, DONT KNOW WHAT THE HELL THEY WERE THINKING, maybe working out your toddler, idk. I took the padding off my old bench, (they are longer and more cushioned) put some gorilla glue on the bar and problem solved. I took a pic for you. Last but not least, I must’ve read 300 bad reviews about the seat not laying flat… oh boy, SMH. Let’s take that complaint off the table as well shell we… I sent a pic of my bench laying flat and how to lay it flat, check the video. WARNING: some of the pieces need to put this thing together (nuts and bolts) may be already going in the holes or semi attached to bench, so don’t get yourself ready TO CURSE EVERY PERSON INTHE COMPANY OUT BC YOU CANT FIND THE PIECES, (like I did). I caught this bench on a flash sale, bought the lessor model the day before and canceled. This was 10 bucks more and this thing works. I’m also 6’3” so you taller guys are good. Now, for you people that think I got paid for this… that’s your problem go buy the wrong bench, this one will still be here. Unless you get a defective product THIS IS THE BENCH UNDER 300 bucks you’ve been looking for and it will be around for a long time. ... show more

What I liked/loved: It's very well made. The back portion which controls incline/decline seems very stable. The rod is thick, and the latches it falls into do not leave ANY room for slipping during load which gives me a peace of mind. The chair also arrived 90% assembled, and everything was really intuitive to put together. The diagram basically explained/showed everything. They even include real tools (an actual wrench) which I thought was pretty cool. Overall it looks very well made, the paint looks solid, the stitching looks solid, and it doesn't look like they cut many corners (maybe some plastic pieces but whatever) in construction. I have one small issue, and one slightly larger one. The small issue is that it was shipped via USPS, which did not bring it to my 3rd floor apartment, it said "deliver attempted" but I googled online and in some complexes they don't even try. So during a pandemic, when I ordered online, I had to go to the post office to pick it up in person...was kinda annoyed by that, but that's at least on part on USPS. The second, and arguably more relevant matter to the product, is that the front legs are incredibly narrow. If used correctly it will pose no problems...but I know on larger benches I've pushed myself with larger weights to the point of failure, and one arm starts to drop, sorta tilting me. I worry in that scenario the chair may tilt, though to be fair it's less likely because the rear legs are adequately wide...the front legs really should be a few inches wider imo. With ALL THIS SAID, I am very happy with the product. I would recommend them to others. I would rate this 4.5 stars if I could, but I am not going to round that down to 4 in light of all the other things that this chair excels it. If I were grading it, I'd give it an A- .....really good for the price, and I did a fair bit of research before ordering, so I'm not sure what I could have gotten that looked more stable/better made. Everything more stable was substantially more expensive (Like $300-500) OR it was the same price and it looked really poorly made. If you're on the fence, and you have a limited budget, I think this gives you a lot of bang for your buck...just...exercise caution. ... show more
