Great steel honeycomb! Magnets are a plus! To be honest, I do mostly "small stuff". Coasters, earrings, etc so I really don't need a larger honeycomb. This one is "just right" for my use. Magnets come in handy for holding pieces in place. I also use a large flat magnet which used to be an ad for a business stuck on a car door so approx 2x3 feet which I cut up as templates, holding 4x4 pieces in place (read coasters). Great if you want to do "both sides" of your piece. Magnets that came with the honeycomb don't hold the piece down very well and get in the way of the laser, so you'd do better to put them on the sides. Works well. Worth the money.     • Honey comb for laser

works well , only issue I have with it is the outer edge, it is quite wide and with my Z1 I had to raise the laser above the honey comb so I could laser at the zero mark. The control box on the Z1 is in the way. Has functioned for my purposes and pretty sure if i had purchased a different laser this round it would not have been an issue. It does of the guide ruler on the left side, but hard to see because the laser rails are above it obstructing the viewing angle. Good product for a weeks worth of test cutting. ... show more

    • FUNCTIONAL BUT JUST OKAY

Using this 500mm x 500mm for my xTool D1 Pro 10w. I'd gotten a different brand previously for a similar machine but it's no longer available, so I got this one. I found the advertised measurements very close to the description, actually 501.65mm x 501.65mm external (19.75" x 19.75") and it fit perfectly inside my xTool enclosure and using ClackShack design keepers. Shipping was fine, no box damage as I ordered it in Amazon packaging, so it was a box in a box. The down sides, for me personally: The material that creates the metal honeycomb is much thinner than my other honeycomb, thus is more flimsy and my hold-down pins do not fit snugly. The horizontal rods holding the honeycomb in place do almost nothing to help it lay flat. In fact, mine bows and flexes very easily. Kind of a pain to work with. All in all, it's just "okay". I would return it and look for a more sturdy unit, but this one will be used for my cutting machine and the other will be used as the engraving/detail machine, so I'll keep it. Cheaper is normally not "as good as" or "better" and this is another example of that. If you just need something to hold material that isn't required to be perfectly flat, this will likely do the job for ya. If not, I would recommend looking elsewhere. ... show more
