I love these! Each set having its own remote is a great feature. I use these for many things. From your basic nightlight to organza bed post accents. They work great to light up cabinets when you want to showcase the credenza itself or items inside. I wrap these around cityscape photos and also they are small and maneuverable enough to create a cityscape picture. I've purchased 4 and will purchase more. ********UPDATE******** THEY LAST ONE WEEK. I bought these to wrap around garlands and wreaths. First - make sure you order what you're looking for. The ones I bought are daylight white. they aren't really the blue-LED-white, they aren't the warm-LED-yellow, these are closer to a bright white. There is a brightness setting on the remote, There's also a Timer-mode and 8-different blinking/fading/combo/steady settings. These were exactly what I was hoping for, and more! To be honest, I had not read the description all the way through. I was expecting battery powered lights that would have an on/off via remote, and maybe a timer. What I got was much more than that! You can run them through a series of different light patterns. You can control everything via remote, and 1 remote CAN control all of them (unless of course they are spread throughout your house, then I suppose it would make more sense to use all the remotes.) You will need 12 batteries to power all 4 light strings. The remotes have a cell battery already installed. The lights are woven right into the copper wire and you can twist and bend them to your hearts content. I have already ordered yellow lights to replace these white ones in this room, as I think these white ones would look better against a different color wall, but you get the idea! The strands are very long; if I didn't bunch them up I could have wrapped one strand around all of the mirrors (or just about). Great buy - bought the exact same brand in the warm white.     • Love 'em... except the flashing MUST be fixed. 3month Update: one string Dead. Nope. Two.

In general, these are nice lights with one SERIOUS flaw, that others have mentioned. Because of this, I can only use the strands in CONTINUOUS mode - and in that mode, they're good. So I'm giving 3-stars and high marks... hoping YIHONG will fix the flaw... I'd buy new lights with a fix. What they are: 50 LED strand on two thin wires, 3 AA battery powered, with remote - exactly as offered. Timer function works perfectly & has memory - if you set it to non-flashing, then set the timer, it stay in that mode each time it turns on for 6hrs. Timer is set by turning lights on, setting mode, then pressing TIMER once - lights will flash confirmation. That becomes the LIGHTS ON time, 6hrs later LIGHTS off, repeats until you turn unit OFF, which turns off the timer function. Has memory (nice touch), remembering the mode most recently selected and the brightness setting. OK - The one SERIOUS problem is the programming of the flashing/fading/chasing/blinking modes. Since its programming, YIHONG can - and PLEASE DO - fix it in software - cheap, no redesign. The problem is serious, and has to do with the blink frequency that all modes operate at. NONE of the modes operate at a single frequency - instead they all cycle through several frequencies, i.e., select the blink mode, and the strand blinks SLOW SLOW SLOW.... FASTER FASTER FASTER... FASTEST FASTEST FASTEST... then cycles back & repeats the same blink frequencies. This frequency cycling affects all the modes except continuously on. In general, I don't like this, but that's just my preference. BUT... the FASTEST frequency... is DANGEROUS. It blinks more like a strobe light - and that's the danger. Anyone with a photosensitive seizure disorder - including my wife - is going to have a problem with the strobing effect - it makes ME queasy. I'd suggest each mode operate at ONE USER SELECTED FREQUENCY, so user can select a frequency that doesn't cause problems (it looks better too). With some clever programming (i've done it on several MCUs), the frequency could be user select WITHOUT needing to add buttons to the remote. I suggest press & hold a specific button for 5s to select a frequency (press/hold 1 for slow, 2=medium, 3=fast, 4=Cycle Speeds). If press/hold can't be accomplished (i understand the limitations), then pressing a specific button (9) three times in one second, followed by pressing 1/2/3/4 to select frequency, would also work as a frequency select sequence. And... frequency must be stored just like the brightness so it persists with the timer function. Please YIHONG... fix this problem & let me change to 5-star review. UPDATE 7-22-2021 - Three months of continuous, nightly 6-hr usage, progress report. One strand just died. The LED *string* is fine (tested with jumpers to thin wires), but the controller electronics died. With fresh batteries, the batteries got *HOT* in 10s - I hooked up my power supply to the battery terminals and checked current being drawn (normally just a few dozen milliamps), and it was drawing over 1000ma. Three months, isn't too bad. Other issues I've noted: 1. Lights don't shutdown when the batteries are low, they keep drawing until the batteries are so depleted, they won't even accept a charge without jump-starting them to min voltage - this is with brand new Amazon basic NiMh rechargeables. Strongly suggest units SHUT DOWN when batteries are low. 2. The plastic latches that close the watertight battery case are weak - they've broken off of two of the cases. Suggest higher-density plastic or metal for the case latches. I've got rubber bands holding the broken cases closed. STILL... all in all, 3 months of use is pretty good at this price point. 7-26-21... Uh-oh... hope this isn't a pattern, but 2nd string died. I noticed it stopped responding to the remote (while all others were responding), so I removed the batteries...looked at everything, replaced the batteries... nothing - dead. ... show more

These lights are great. My husband bought two small Solar Powered potted trees for either side of our front door on our porch. Only one problem--no sun on the covered porch. Hello!! So I ordered these lights. They are very bright. We like them so much we are ordering another set (of 4) to use in other areas. The only reason I did not give them a 5 star rating is that they are tangled when they arrive. It takes a few minutes to untangle each string, but once that is done, the lights are great. I would recommend wrapping them around a piece of cardboard when storing. I would also recommend that approach to the seller when shipping. ... show more
