Got these as I had been given a couple of homemade ones years ago & fell in love w/design. These are replacing a black plastic version of hanging solar lanterns purchased several years ago. These are much brighter given the open clear jar design & give off more light r/t so many LED's & clear reflective surface area. They're also heavier so they don't whip around & break in the wind as several of the plastic ones did. They power up even on cloudy & partial sun days, then shine as soon as light gets dim until the light returns at sunrise. Enough light given off to see when walking the entire driveway & backyard. I've placed a string of them 3-4 feet apart rimming our driveway & edge of the backyard lawn. They are just what I was looking for. I would definitely buy these again. I love these solar lights! They look so good in our front flower beds. They are the perfect lighting color and brightness. They hold a charge well. I also purchased these to hang around our pool on a fence and they look so good. Great quality, heavy glass and have been pretty durable.

The media could not be loaded. These are so cute!! Super easy to put together and worked right away. A couple didn't light up, but those were in the bottom of the box and I'm sure just need some light to charge. I'm super happy with these.

So, I read the reviews on these and decided to get them. I didn't get the plastic lids knowing that outdoors the metal will eventually rust but I think they will last longer than plastic in Central TX heat and severe weather. They all worked out of the box. They sat on my countertop over night waiting for shepherd hooks and they stayed lit all night long. Even the next day when we put them out, even when over cast, they all lit up pretty bright. So far, these have been the best flowerbed lights I have purchased. Would recommend 100% ... show more

Everybody likes these. Lots of comments. I have many of shepherd hooks near the house for bird feeders. Sometimes I lined them up along the sidewalk and that is a festive look. So these have been out there almost six months. The are delightful in any season.
