I normally keep a roll-up tonneau cover on my truck bed, but I needed to be able to keep my tools, tie-downs, tow cables, etc. in the bed of my truck when towing my 5th wheel. This was the perfect solution. It keeps the weather off the tools and does not interfere at all with the 5th wheel hitch. Both the compartment and the whole unit can be locked, so you can keep the contents secure from prying eyes and hands, as well as reduce the chances someone will just pull the whole box out of the bed. Install took about 10-15 minutes per side. Just a suggestion, make sure you are parked on a flat surface when installing so that you can measure your screw holes level and ensure the box will swing open and closed correctly. The only complaint I have is that the left and right units that I bought as a set were not keyed the same. I get it for the single units, but the sets sold as a left-right package in the same box should really have the same key. Otherwise, totally happy. ... show more

So far so good. Easy to install and seems sturdy and waterproof. I would not recommend putting heavier object in it otherwise it may sag and not be able to lock to your bed.

Easy installation. The swing cases lock and secure to the bars easily. Took some time to get used to the locking system. Each swing case comes with two keys, be sure to mark them for driver or passenger side for easier access.

The product is perfect for what we wanted. However we did not catch the small crack in unit until after install and was showing off to a friend. When we tried getting replaced all they want to do is return item for refund. But i have no where to put the tools and it is over a month turn around time. i wanted just the one item replaced or even a discount would have been great. But they wanted the long hassle of returning and refunding. Which leaves me with no product . Not happy ... show more

I beleive there are "nicer" quality tool boxes like these out there but these work just fine for the price. I found the install easy but I have some knowledge and the right tools for the job. The self drilling sheet metal bolts they came with are of lackluster quality and a couple broke under normal install parameters. The kit came with a few extra. I like that you can easily remove them off of the hinges when swung out partially and take them out when you need the space. Besides the lid lock they came with you can lock them onto the hinge so they cannot be removed (with your own padlock). They do not have a load capacity but from the construction I would not plan on putting heavier duty tools in them. I would say 20-25 lbs tops. ... show more
