I was very pleasantly surprised by this weight set, especially given how inexpensive it was. All the parts are well made, and the collars go on and off the bars very easily and securely. My only slight issue is that all of the weights are metric, so if you're looking for exactly 5 lbs, 10 lbs, etc., you're not going to be able to come up with that. was a little skeptical on buying this because of some of the reviews. Yes, it's a bit bulky, they are plastic and probably filled with sand, but it's also like $60. Cheaper price, cheaper materials. It seems like it'll serve its purpose, which is the important part. Everything came undamaged, but the gasoline type smell everyone reported is definitely present (I'm not even remotely sensitive to smells and it was strong), also had some sort of polish/liquid on most of them, just used a towel to wipe them down and I'm sure it'll be fine. I believe they're advertised as 66 lbs, and while they do come with 66 lbs of weights, the most weight you're able to get on a dumbell is about 40 lbs. Just a heads up, if you want to try them out and think you can return them, it's not super viable. Return shipping was like $58, basically the cost of the dumbells. I need all the weights I can find. I'm MASSIVE, and finding enough weight to lift is a problem. So I bought these and am happy. The quality is not so great. The interior is just concrete. I eat concrete for lunch, along with a protein bar between sets. The outer shell is cheap plastic that can barely handle the stress I put these poor weights under when I power out rep after rep. But weighing the weights (!) proves they are close to advertised weight. The half-pound and metric numbers confuse me, but all I know is it's heavy and hurts my arms when I lift them. It’s a simple product. Gets the workout done and that’s all you really need. Only complaint I have is the packaging. it was pretty damaged and it smelt bad. I had to let it soak in soap and sanitize it.
