The material is the softest of any cat tree I've had. I put it together in about 10 minutes. Everything fits correctly and tightly. It's sturdy and doesn't wobble when they jump on it. I like that it has multiple levels with a good amount of surface. My cats love it and use it often. It was shipped right away and got here quickly. Assembly seemed like it would be easy and it probably would have been should two parts of the tower didn't give me trouble. First, instructions are included and are step-by-step easy to understand. However, there were two defective parts of the tower that I couldn't include in the final product. Second, one of the beds had a huge bulge in the center of it. I tried to push it back but couldn't. It's there to stay. I can see that being very uncomfortable for the cats if they want to lay down in that particular bed. The first two images I uploaded show sort-of the bulge. The images didn't come out as good as I would have liked but I think readers will get the picture (excuse the pun). Third, the inside thread on the bottom of one of the pillars came loose and I cannot put it back in. It appears the bottom of the pillar may have been defective and gave way when I went to screw the pillar on and then take it off later on. Images have been uploaded to show what I mean. I now have 3/4 of a product for the cats. See last image. ... show more
