I just bought a new M1 Mac Book Pro and I use it closed in clamshell connected to a 32 inch monitor. I bought this keyboard skin for my Apple Magic Keyboard 3 (without finger sensor) to start learning Final Cut Pro keyboard shortcuts and become proficient fast(I have a 20 year old on and off experience with Adobe Premiere). Cons: If you press on the side of the buttons it will not work because of the cover button walls and because of the finesse of the keyboard (the key travel is very short) . You need to press the button in the middle. That is a minor inconvenience. Each key has printed two action, one for the key itself and one for a combination of the key with a CMD, Option, CTRL, or shift and there are color coded. What is missing is the color for associate key(just CMD is red) I have to figure out each time what key is in the combination (a drawback for the function of the cover) Pros: The cover was packaged professionally(check my pictures). It looks great on my Apple magic keyboard 3 and in few days using it I've learned at least half of the main shortcuts. Probably after few months and projects I will not need it anymore but I will keep it as a dust cover and reminder. Even with the drawbacks I like this cover. The quality is good and I am looking forward to use it until I will become proficient in Final Cut Pro shortcuts. I prefer to spend $15 and learn the keys shortcuts than spend $250 to $500 on specialized tools that are doing exactly the same thing. ... show more

Functionally this is good, if you know what it is then that should be sufficient. Shortcuts match for Live 11, fit on the keyboard is tight, etc. Personally, I don't like the way it's designed quite as much as my previous mat, whose manufacturer doesn't support this keyboard. They had an overall black background and made extensive and consistent use of color to denote modifier actions (cmd-, opt-, cmd-opt-, etc.) across the whole mat, and really crammed the shortcuts in without seeming too cluttered. ... show more

The design and fit of the skin jams too easily. it makes typing a chore. it is especially awful fit around spacebar. you have to tap the spacebar multiple times because the skin has jammed the space in between key and keyboard body. no adjustment to skin layout has alleviated the issue.
