I bought this keyboard cover on a whim after purchasing one from Kuzy (for a higher price) that was so terrible I had to throw it away. This is a silicon keyboard cover, so it has no adhesives but it fits perfectly onto the keys. It has a slightly different texture, which is noticeable but what I would expect from a quality keyboard cover. The other keyboard cover I purchased was clear plastic with only two areas of adhesion, so it did not stick to the keyboard well at all and lifted up off of it. Very minor lifting by the spacebar is the only issue that I notice with this keyboard. It makes the sound of typing on the keyboard quieter. It is NOT flimsy -- it is very durable and will likely last for quite awhile of regular use. I type 80 wpm and it is not slowing me down. I notice the light not showing through the keys with the black cover, but what I do like is that the keyboard blends in so well that you cannot tell there is a keyboard cover. It really, really fits PERFECTLY onto the keys and is very easy to apply. It prevents oils from your fingers that transfering to your screen, and also prevents dust and crumbs from getting into the keyboard. I am someone who likes to keep my laptop looking pristine and brand new, so I'm really thankful for this keyboard cover. I don't really notice any downsides to it at all aside from the backlight on the keys not showing through, but that does not bothe me. First off, I love the serenity blue color! The printing on this keyboard cover is not perfect, some of the letters don't match up underneath, but it's not super noticeable unless you have your backlight brightness turned all the way up. So far the cover fits over the keys very well, but it is going to take some adjustments here and there to get it to settle onto the keyboard since its brand new. Typing on the keyboard hasn't changed much, other than my fingers not sliding on the keys as easily and the sound is much quieter. I'm glad to have something that will keep crumbs and dust out of my keys and be pretty at the same time! P.S. Please make a mint green color! ... show more

I am new to Macs and new to keyboard covers but I like this one. I ordered two keyboard covers. This one was the better of the two, The print for the all the keys match up, it fits on my keyboard easily, it feels pretty good. I'm not too comfortable typing with it on my keyboard yet but I have never had a keyboard cover so I'm guessing that is just my issue. I like the colors. There is what looks to be a small imperfection on the bottom right corner where the material looks a bit squished inwards, I don't know if that is supposed to be there to make it easier to take off but I am guessing it is not supposed to be there. Started off great.... but it became loose after a while and now will not stay when typing. Always has to be adjusted. Don't know why "thickness" is even a rating option with how flimsy it is. The backlight barely even shows. Too late to return it. Think twice before buying this.
