  • Easy to set up and use
I got this to work with my G106. It’s simple to set up and use. I travel with mine frequently so being so small and light weight is a plus. Great for working digital modes.

  • Great interface.
Easily installed with included cables. LEDs keep you informed of whats going on with the interface. Works great.

  • Life is much easier with this!
I have tried many times, with very limited success to use the CE-19 with the G90 and it just doesn't work for me. I purchased this hoping for better results and I was not disappointed. It is a breeze to get up and running and it just works! Very happy with this purchase and that all necessary equipment needed is included in the purchase. ... show more

  • One connection to your computer...
So this box is designed specifically to connect a xiegu g90 to a computer so that you can do digital ham radio. It works perfectly. You connect it to the back accessory connector and the ci-v plug on the side of the radio. The de-19 lets you plug one usb plug into your computer. Three devices are surfaced, a "microphone" where you get audio from the radio, a speaker (where you send the audio from your digital programs to the radio) and a serial connection for cat control. Hint: you might not be able to use the radio in G90 mode. There is a timing issue. But telling, for example, wsjt-x that you have an icom 7100, everything works. But you don't need to connect your computer's sound card to anything, you don't need a separate cable for cat control. All the cables you need are included. The downside is that this gadget will only work on xiegu radios. The upside is that it works perfectly. No fiddling. Plug it in. Do your device setup. Select the right sound card, the serial port for cat control, the radio type. And you are up on FT8. ... show more

  • Easy FT8
I was able to get my G90 sending and receiving FT8 very quickly using the DE-19. It’s about as close to plug-and-play as anything in ham radio… which means it’s harder than using an iPhone, but much easier than, say, programming a Baofeng HT (or a VCR, if you ever attempted that). Maybe there are still cheaper ways to make this happen, but you’ll be stringing together various devices and adapters where the DE-19 comes complete with all the hardware you need. Older modes like RTTY are tougher to get going, but that’s due to the clumsiness of FLRig / FLDigi compared to WSJT-X. I’d definitely recommend getting FT8 going before you move on to other modulation protocols. Nice surprise: my young daughter actually gets a kick out of “helping” with FT8, though I think she’d rather scrape paint than watch me work SSB. Something about the periodicity of it, and the XMIT light clicking on… then you start looking up callsigns on QRZ. You never know what’s going to resonate with a preschooler. ... show more

  • Very simple interface
I haven't had the chance to use my interface just yet due to computer issues, but it is very easy to understand. I feel that I will have no issue using it once my computer is working properly.

  • Flawless
Purchased for use with Xiegu G90 to reduce cabeling and enable the radio to communicate with a computer. No installation hitches, and I've made numerous contacts using WSJT-X over the last week. Recommended for use with the G90.

  • It works but cheap cables.
It does work and it's the easiest way to setup your (in my case) G90 and XPA125B to work digital modes at ~100W. The CE-19 it comes with is a joke and the digirig works but you can't use it with an amp. The biggest problem this has is the cables which aren't choked or shielded. A couple ferrite beads later and I was in business though. Also verified it works well using the digirig cables that come with beads and shielding. Settings are 19200, N,8,2 (stop bits may or may not matter but I needed it to make the cat work reliably and not A/B switch all the time) a long with rts low (very important to manually set). If you are using rigctld make sure to add -C rts_state=OFF,stop_bits=2 to your command. This thing also packs nicely because it's the same foot print as a raspberry pi so it stays in the same place in my foam cutout as my rpi. If you do not plan on using the amp then save some $$$. You can use the USB cable that comes with the G90 for cat control and get a simple TRRS -> din cable for the audio. Search for "FT8 Audio ACC Interface 8-Pin Mini DIN DATA Cable XIEGU G90 X5105 HF Transceiver" and it was about $16 on eBay. I set that up with a laptop using its internal sound card and I have far fewer issues than I did using the DE-19 or the digirig. Note that I did need ferrites on the USB cable (one at each end). I went ahead and tossed some on the audio cable too. ... show more
