The media could not be loaded. Doesn't let ANY light in at all, the color and feel were exactly as described as you can see in my video. The fact that I got them on sale was a steal!! Would say they were worth paying the full price however. I ironed mine, but the material is oddly stiff and thinner than expected. Mine don't drape as nicely as the theirs at all. The material reminds me of that reusable shopping bag material, not real fabric. I kept my old curtains in case these end up disintegrating from the sun and heat like that fake fabric does. Got these as a replacement and realized my old light-blocking curtains weren't very light blocking after all. These are a thick material that I believe are not just blocking light but some of the heat as well. The tinted glass of the sliding glass door gets very warm, which causes the dining area to become warm. It has felt more comfortable in that area since I put these up. The color is nice. The material is rather coarse, but that's fine. This has loops on the top, so it does leave a bit of a gap at the bottom compared to the loops at the top version. ... show more

The summer heat is just brutal where we live and the back of our home has large windows and faces NW --- so we get lot of unfiltered afternoon sun (and heat) seeping into the house. Last year, our AC unit literally ran 24/7, and still couldn't seem to cool down that area of the house so I'm replacing all of our "room darkening" curtains with total blackout and hoping it'll be better this year. These are amazing! The difference is between the two styles of curtains regarding light and heat blockage is just crazy, and i honestly didn't believe it would make that much of a difference until i put the first panel up and was able to compare them side by side. I'm also very pleased with the appearance and texture of these curtains. This is actually the third brand I've tried. The other two worked well, but looked and felt like the material on a cheap, older style blow up mattress. It was horrible. These are soft and thick. They're not lined, but they block out the sun just as well as the others I tried. The color is also beautiful! It's hard to tell in the photo due to the sun, but these are a blue-grey color and very very pretty. Overall, I'm extremely happy with this set and would highly recommend them.
