  • Not just for wiring.
Style: 3/4-Inch x 50-Feet (3-Pack)
I'm a maker. That means I make things. A lot of very different things. Sometimes they're electrical, most of the time, they're not. But in making things, I've learned to adapt materials to what I need. And that's the story behind my love affair with this tape. In crafting, tape is often used for holding things in place, temporarily in most cases. Scotch tape works well in most of those applications. But there are times when you need something stronger, that has more adhesive power, and is heat resistant to stay in place forever. I found this tape to be extremely versatile in applying it to a myriad of situations. One was to increase the diameter of a dowel to fit into a hole more tightly. Another was to limit the movement of a joint so that it couldn't move beyond a certain point (kind of like a ligament does in the human body). I've also used it as a means of securely gluing unlike materials together. The adhesive of the tape stuck well to one surface, while i used a glue to firmly attach another material to the tape that wouldn't otherwise stick very well with any glue - even with sanding to rough up the surfaces for better adhesion. I've used electrical tape in the past, but it tends to ooze and slide around after a while. The cloth backing on this means it doesn't move at all once it's in place and overlapping the adhesive side onto the cloth. It CAN be a bit hard to find the ends, but if you've ever used el cheapo packing tape, well, you've figured out how to find the ends and start over again, or given up in frustration and started using a stable gun instead. The one application I've yet to use it on is for what it's meant to be used for. And that's why I sing its praises. As a maker, I want something versatile that can be used in multiple projects in different ways and still do a stellar job of it. One-off specialty things have their limited uses, but I ain't made of money, so I try to get materials I can use across a wide range of applications. This tape fits that bill very nicely. Definitely worth the 5 stars, and it's a permanent resident in my Crafting Materials wish list. ... show more

  • GREAT STUFF. MAKES ACCESSORY WIRING LOOK LIKE IT IS FACTORY
Style: 3/4-Inch x 50-Feet (5-Pack)
This is great tape to wrap wiring. It makes your wiring look factory. It is not the fuzzy or ace bandage type tape but does look loke it woven. I have always used electrical tape to wrap wiring but this is much better. Reasonably priced and came with 5 roles. I suggest using a razor blade to cut it to have a nice end. The only way you will be able to tear it is like tearing duct tape and we all know how that can go. I wrapped wiring for a few accessories I added to my vehicle and the wiring running along side of the factory harness. Looks like it was done at the factory ... show more

  • Great wiring loom tape
Style: 3/4-Inch x 50-Feet (5-Pack)
Sticky enough, adhesive does not seem as if it will weep and get gummy. Easy to handle and apply. Tears cleanly. Solid product so far.

  • Good stuff.
Style: 3/4-Inch x 50-Feet (5-Pack)
Very good fabric tape. Forms and holds well. Much easier to use than the vinyl stuff.

  • Works well, good quality
Style: 3/4-Inch x 50-Feet (5-Pack)
I had been chasing a wiring issue in my 2003 BMW 325i which required removing a lot of this stuff to inspect the wires. I bought this as a replacement but have since found it works great for a good many types of cable management. The quantity was more than I thought I would need so I gave some away but am now starting to regret that as I constantly find a good use for this. The tape does a great job of sticking to itself and to most other surfaces. Note: This is definitely not a replacement for black electrical tape and it doesn't seem to hold up as well in high heat areas. ... show more

  • First impression is good
Style: 3/4-Inch x 50-Feet (5-Pack)
What drew me to this was the value: $13 and change for a 5 pack, or 250 feet of tape. I just wired up a pair of aftermarket electric radiator fans on my truck and I was thinking plastic loom would be the way to go, but I saw this and never used it before, but I had an idea of what it was, having seen it in pretty much every factory wiring bunch ever made. So after wrapping up my wiring, It seems to have good adhesion. I also really like the way the fabric feels, it doesn't feel it was produced the cheapest way or cheapest materials possible. And it's easy to tear with just your fingers, the same way you would with electrical tape. I'll update this review if the adhesion doesn't hold up, which is the only unknown at this point. ... show more

  • Great stuff!

Excellent tape, has the right tackyness to it and looks great after you wrap the wires. Easy to tear and you get a lot of it. A+

  • Tape worked in the engine compartment
Style: 1.3-Inch x 50-Feet
2009 Chev Impala LTZ with 3900 V6. The black plastic or loom around the wiring system of the car had crumbled off in several places and upon inspection was brittle all over. The XFasten Wire Harness Tape was easy to put on. I had to adjust and use shorter lengths in places where the wires were crowded by other parts of the car. This is heat tap and made different than electrical tape (which will melt off in a car engine compartment) as the glue is made to stick as it gets hot (car engine). I used Alex Tech Split Wire Loom Tubing sold on Amazon in the following sizes 1 inch, ¾ inch, in separate bags and ½ 3/8 ¼ which was sold in one bag. I would suggest for a big project, like mine, to order all the above sizes. The loom was capable of going over the size below – hence I was able to put on ½ inch then tape followed by putting ¾ inch over the ½ inch and taping again as an example. There were also spots that were soft from the heat but not breaking off – I put the next size of loom over the original loom and taped over it. There were a couple of fastenings made like flex ties which had to be cut – I found a heat-resistant flex tie for 258 degrees at HD which slipped in the slot of the old tie. You Tube had some videos on how to start the loom and that was helpful. Be sure to attach the harness back to the support attachments, this is important – I had a Ford dealer who forgot to reattach the harness behind the engine on a recall– a few months later on a road trip the car went from 70 mph to 5 mph in a blink of an eye. Had to call a tow truck and the very small wire for the transmission in the harness had been burned through as it was touching the engine. ... show more
