Neither did I want a fancy tonneau cover nor want to drop another $1500 to the car dealer. My first requirement that it must be easy for installation for a one-man job because I am not so handy. The second requirement is the price must be reasonable. I settled with the tri-fold design cover after some research. A similar one with good reviews in Amazon may cost $ 1K. I ran into this Xcover and found 21 reviews with 5 stars, which I believe the 21 happy guys willing to leave great reviews after they paid $600 must be something RIGHT about it in common. Being a not so handyman, I read the manual and watched videos repeatedly before installing it. It took me about 1.5 hours including fine-tune the position and nuts & bolts. I purchased this bed cover for my truck about a year and a half ago. It was great, simple to install and fit perfectly for my truck. Starting a few months ago towards last years I noticed a rust spot and at first I didn’t believe it was a big deal, but over the next few month it got much bigger and at this point I’m not sure if is going to get even worst and cause major problems. For over 659 dollars I excepted it to last longer. I tried emailing them hoping this might be covered by the 5 year defects warranty but after months no reply. Waterproof so far. I live in Phoenix and within 2 days of my install, it rained for 2 days straight. I had a brown empty box in the bed and two rolls of paper towels- strategically placed under the panel joints. Kept it outside and never saw water inside and neither towels nor boxes were wet. Constant 2 day drizzle not hard but it was 48hrs straight of rain drizzle. It’s strong and heavy and easy to install. Tweaked it to align with tailgate and fits like a glove. Way cheaper than Truck Accessory place- and I installed within 35-40 minutes. No one helped me. Good deal! ... show more

I bought this ten months ago and making affirm payments still. The panel closest to the back window ,has developed a large air pocket.Its like the product has separated and bowing up. The parts to the bed cover were all present and packed carefully. The cover looks good after completing the installation. The problem I had was with the Installation Manual not being clear. The photos of the brackets and channeling enlarge to show the brackets and relative channel enlarged would be helpful.
