  • Good cage if you can assemble good enough
Color: Black Vein
Good price for a cage this big but my husband did have to use pliers to bend all the metal in place to make the cage more sturdy and possible for the animals to be in without it falling back apart but he has been building cages for years since we have always had animals so it didn’t take too long for him to get it together if you assemble good enough it is sturdy enough for your caged pet the only problem we really had was the bottom part where the tray slides in is a little bent and the tray came with a hole in it and we bought two of them so hopefully when we start putting together the other cage none of that one is broken 🤞🏼 Overall it is a pretty good product for the price and we will rig it to fix it to use but if you have the extra 50 bucks I would just buy the better cage honestly and safe the headache and hassle I’m not even going to bother messaging the seller from what reviews I seen on here they don’t help anyway and we knew what we were getting into so it’s okay would not buy again though I figured I would give it a shot still sadly it is like the reviews stated but I don’t think as nearly as bad as they try to make it seem assembly wasn’t all that bad honestly ... show more

  • Best price for space cage for rats
Color: Black Vein
Like others said its pretty flimsy but due to its shape and design its pretty easy to reinforce. Assembling it was relatively easy with two people but you do a tool that can squeeze the metal hooks closed on each connecting part to fully assemble it. Can easily house 3-4 rats, probably more with more frequent cleaning. Was even able to keep a adult mouse inside for two weeks before it figured out how to escape, which is surprising considering its not made to contain pets that small and that mouse explored often. If you want to reinforce it don't use metal zip ties as they dont get small/tight enough. Best thing with this cage is the space your getting for the price you pay. Due to the price to space ratio I would honestly not consider getting any other cage for a while. Yes it isn't sturdy but how often would you be moving a cage like this to justify the thick bars on the smaller $200+ cages? I would probably only consider some sort of modular cage over this but even joining two of these together shouldn't be impossible with the right tools and materials. Even with more money for better cages I would probably still get this and try just that due to the allure of the extra space. The flimsiness of it does make wheels quite bouncy, but the base of the whole thing is sturdy enough to fix that if you try to anchor it in various ways to the bottom sides of the cage. ... show more

  • NOT safe for ferrets
Color: White
We originally bought this cage because our teenage daughter wanted rats for Christmas. However, after more research, we decided on a ferret instead...but had already ordered this cage. I noticed it said it was for ferrets so thought we could try it. It quickly became clear that this is not a safe cage for ferrets. Ferrets like to climb....and they FALL (like a lot). And the wire shelves can cause ferret paws to get caught. I thought we could just rearrange the shelves to make this a two level cage, but this was not as easy as I thought it would be. You cannot lay the shelves side by side where the doors are and still open the doors. I ended up getting out the pliers and the wire cutters and making it work, for now. I put the tray on top of the wire floor for the first level. I combined three shelves with the small ladder to make the second floor by placing one shelf on each side and connecting them by laying the third shelf across them. I used the small ladder to make the second floor a little roomier and the opening to it smaller (so he wouldn't fall through). I used two of the ladders side by side to make the ramp from the first to the second floor. I then cut out cardboard to lay across the wire shelves and the ramp. I covered the ramp with tube socks. By the time I finished rigging this thing up I was covered in scratches and bruises! But it works for now and our ferret is happy with his home. We will use this until we can get a Ferret Nation cage. ... show more

  • Directions are a problem.
Color: Black Vein
Hopefully you see this before you purchase or atleast before you assemble. The product itself isn’t bad, not the best but it definitely does what it’s supposed to do and it honestly is pretty nice. However the directions for assembly are quite bland and even if properly read and understood you still have a good chance of messing it up. Wouldn’t be a big deal but you have to pinch (with a tool) each piece together in multiple spots… making it hard to undo if you mess up. With this being said, the front and back panels are longer than the side panels so the tray can slide under, when assembling make sure to line up the side with the top of the cage not the bottom or else you will have a wonky crooked cage. Also make sure to use proper tools to punch the pieces considering I used Vice grips and they were too wide so it snapped a few of the pieces intended to be pinched… again overall if the directions were clearer this would be an easy 4 star! ... show more

  • Good for price
Color: Black Vein
Once finally got it together it was okay. When recieved the tray was broken from where it was not packaged well at all. The rack tray goes in was bent but we fixed. The bottom door is bent. Contacted company with picture of tray and suppose to send a replacement. I didn't want to bend clamps on ladders in case want to move around so had to use twist ties to hold them down to keep from moving. The tray in my opinion should be deeper and be was hoping it was. Over all good cage for price. Shipping was expensive considering really how it was packaged and damaged when arrived. ... show more

  • I wouldn’t buy this.
Color: Black Vein
Some of the bars aren’t welded on all the way and they wiggle. The doors have some space when they’re closed and I had to buy hooks with springs to attach to the doors to make sure my rats couldn’t squeeze out of the spaces. I would have another person help you put this together because it’s not easy doing it solo. I also had to use quite a few zip ties to keep it put together, without them it’s not very sturdy. I also had to flip it upside down and put the tray inside the cage because rats cannot have wire flooring in their cage, and the tray isn’t very deep. i’m looking for a deeper tray that will fit. It works if you’re low on money but need lots of space, but if i could go back i would buy a different long term cage given the choice. ... show more
