Installed the winch which was relatively straightforward. I realized that the wireless remote was missing and contacted them and they responded within a day and sent me a whole new control box. There's lots of cheap chinese winches out there with similar quality (some branded by American companies too), but support is critical and Xbull has been great when I needed them. I've had this winch installed for 2 years now and have used it multiple times with no issue. I have it installed on a GX470 and used it to get over multiple obstacles and up muddy trails that required multiple full length pulls to get to the top of the mountain without overheating or any other issue. I keep a fitted cover over it to keep the synthetic line from sun rot and it's held up great. The wireless remote has also worked flawless and I recommend to anyone needing to keep in a budget but wants reliability without the exorbitant expense of the "name" brands. ... show more

Powerful, quiet and smooth operation. When unspooled I found there is a attachment lug on the spool. The spool spins freely and smooth when disengaged. Plastic parts are of good quality. Line speed is surprisingly quick while being able to still pull a load.

It's a great, powerful winch. Worked perfectly out of the box, looks great on my rig. The control box went bad a few weeks after the warranty expired. X-Bull stood by their product and shipped a new one out at no cost. Definitely would recommend.

Bought this winch for my 1997 Jeep TJ. Installation took about an hour but only because it was my first time installing a winch (I'm rather mechanical/handy). If I had to do it again I probably could do in 1/3 the time knowing now where to route my wires to battery. BTW the battery lead extensions are just long enough to rout to battery safely with a few inches to spare. The remote control works flawlessly and the remote cord is long enough to operate the which sitting in driver seat or at a distance from the vehicle. Installed it and immediately went to my local mud/sand hole and "got stuck" intentionally to see how it would hold up. Tied around a tree and the thing yanked it out with relative ease from about +/- 60 feet out. Motor didn't overheat in the time I used it. The engage/disengage worked as it should. The hook with the magnet is also pretty clutch. After one use i'm very happy with how it yanked my tj out of the sand/muk in south florida. I'll come back to edit my reiview after a few months of use. Overall first impressions are that I'm very happy with price/value/effectiveness of this 13.5k winch. Would recommend. ... show more

To be honest I haven't pulled anything with the winch yet. It looks great, comes with a cover and was easy to install to the front of my LJ. I wired it as per the instructions, and tested it, but I can't comment on its power yet. For me its a great value

I regret to say that my experience with the X-BULL Winch-13500 lb. Load Capacity Electric Winch Kit was nothing short of disastrous. After just one use, the cord snapped while attempting to recover a Toyota Camry, a vehicle well within the winch's specified capacity. The synthetic rope, advertised as durable and reliable, was tangled, melted, and appeared to have been used extensively. Upon closer inspection, we discovered that the rope was frayed in many areas, indicating poor quality and further compromising safety. Moreover, the advertised wireless remote control turned out to be anything but wireless. It required a direct plug-in to the winch, which was inconvenient and contradictory to the product description. Furthermore, the controls were erratic and counterintuitive, causing the winch to operate in the opposite direction of what was indicated. The most alarming aspect, however, was the safety hazard posed by the malfunctioning equipment. During an attempt to pull the vehicle up a ramp, the rope suddenly snapped, sending the vehicle rolling dangerously downhill, narrowly missing a worker and another parked truck. Additionally, upon closer inspection, it became apparent that the item was assembled incorrectly, with components seemingly installed in reverse. Despite attempts to contact X-BULL for assistance and to file a complaint, reaching them proved futile. This lack of customer support only compounds the frustration and disappointment associated with this product. In summary, the X-BULL Winch-13500 lb. Load Capacity Electric Winch Kit not only failed to deliver on its promises of functionality and safety but also posed a significant risk to users and bystanders alike. I strongly advise against purchasing this product, as its unreliability and lack of support make it a liability rather than an asset. ... show more
