It is a good winch for the money. But bought this tool with the thought in mind to be able to move it from the front to rear & onto my 14,000 lb flatbed to load cars trucks ect. And the remote really sold me. So lets get started first the manual is confusing at best if you think your just going to open the box and slap it on WRONG!!! you have put it together first you will need metric & standard tools and then back to the manual three star headache now that you have put that altogether move on to the remote control now back to the manual after reading it a few times I'm like frick I guess I'll go take the control box back off and see if I can find what there not really telling me and that's not just taking it off you have disassemble the control box that thing on top of the winch then you find the wires there trying to show you how to hook up but wait there's no place to install inside the the control box WTH so now you'll have to drill a hole through the control box housing but wait won't that let water or dust and dirt in why by golly your right again is the controller water proof? where can you mount it that it moves where ever you have need of your new tool yes you could mount it under the hood of your truck but then you would have to unwire the remote this defeats the reason I chose this winch. Like I said not bad for the money but I would not replace it with the same one. Make sure it has a built it remote and comes fully assembled. ... show more

Funny how after never using this winch, one day I heard it turn on with the key in my pocket and controles in the glove box. Upon checking on it I found that it had ran most the night causing irreparable damage to the rope, bumper and drum. the internal solenoid shorted out and ruined the winch. be careful as this could cause bodily injuries or even cause fires . My issues with this winch cost me the price of the winch and the cost of a new front bumper on my jeep. ... show more

This winch has held up great! It has gotten me into some bad spots! But it got me back out! I am very impressed with this winch. With both Wireless remotes, and a wired one! I am impressed.

Looks good on the Jeep. Easy install. Instructions could have been better on which wires go to which bolts on the winch itself. Did a Google search and found a video that clarified it. Not used it yet, but it looks very impressive. I thought about installing it to the bumper before I installed the bumper but chose not to due to the shear weight of the two parts combined. ... show more
