So far this winch send to be a good quality. Installation seems straightforward. Connect 2 cables directly to the battery and 2 to the winch and then all 4 of those go to the control box. I have a smaller duty winch and the wiring was much more complicated. I would have no doubt this could pull its rated capacity but haven't had to push it to that limit yet. ... show more

I'm kinda partial to X-Bull winches as I've run a bigger version on one of my trucks for several years now ... and the X-Bull has worked very well. This is a 5k winch so it'll pull a couple of tons.
