    • Panel Only Works Well w Careful Install
I started to give this a bad review but decided to go back over my installation again. I already had the camera and just added the panel. What I found is that there are two points of possible failure. The first is at the adapter. You have to make sure that the connection inside the rubber sleeve is all the way down. And unfortunately you will have to completely remove the rubber tab from the power port on the back of the camera or it won’t stay charging. I didn’t like doing that, but it was the only way to get a secure connection. When I corrected both of these issues, with the panel in full sun it charged from 40% to 83% in one day. The panel is also of a size that is appropriate. The pedestal is also very good and makes adjustments easy. ... show more

    • 100% Necessary for Battery Cameras
These solar panels are incredibly easy to set up, and work great. Very much needed for the battery pro cameras if you set them up outdoors. I find that in conditions of 30 degrees F and warmer, they tend to charge the battery more than it's usage on conservative recording settings. During warmer conditions, you can have more data-heavy recording settings and still have it fully charged during the sunlit hours. If WYZE offered a larger solar panel, or you could hook multiple up to one camera, then perhaps the battery cameras would be more feasible to use during the winter. ... show more

    • A balancing act
I can't write this review without saying I bought the cameras to go with the solar panel. I can't review the panel on its own merits. The solar panels was easy to install and look really nice they were faced in the direction of the sun and connected to the cameras. I bought three panels and cameras. I was experiencing battery issues and I could not figure for the life of me why the panels were not working. So I climbed up there and replaced the battery, about a week later I had the same problem so I did the same thing. I took the battery out and charged it and replaced it after the third week. I got a little tired of doing that so I said I'm not going to worry about it. I'll take it down and return it. So I turned the camera off that had the battery issue. 2 days later I returned to that camera and it was fully charged and then I was having problems with the other two cameras. Same problem. So I devised the same solution. I turn the cameras off and I let the sun charge the batteries itself and I've never had a problem since the sun charges the batteries without any problem. It appears that the sun needs to cycle these batteries. So give your battery and solar panel a chance to work before you send it back. I would buy this product again ... show more

Bought it and didn’t set the camera system up for a few months. When I did have it all hooked up the solar panel would not charge the camera. Would have been nice.

    • Worth the price if you have a lot of yard motion
I have 3 dogs and a lot of yard motion. I got tired of charging the batteries for 3 cameras every weekend. I would sometimes forget. Which defeats the whole camera purpose. If you can fit in your budget, you won't regret it. My cameras usually stay between 95 and100% with at least 6 hours of daily sun. ... show more

We have multiple wyze cams around the house, both inside and out. Having dogs means the outdoor cams trigger a lot, so the battery drains fast. We bought 3 of the solar panels for our outdoor cams and just a few months later one just doesn't produce enough power to keep the battery charged. The camera indicates it's receiving power but still get battery drain. The camera charges normal on its power adapter. Disappointed in this since we have Soo many wyze products. ... show more
