Placed it in a chicken coop, the hens love it, noticeable drop in temperature. I installed it blowing out, it drags air through the coop. You do need vents on the opposing wall if you don't already have them. It only runs when the sun is out, but rain and wind don't bother it. I purchased this to help my chickens deal with Florida heat. I have a small coop and run that is 3‘ x 10‘ for three chickens. They love it and sit right in front of it. It starts running the moment it’s plugged in. It has held up really well and great big rainstorms.. and it rains a lot here. I never take it inside or unplug it. When hurricane Helene fully submerged my lawn it stayed underwater for several hours so I did have to replace it. I tried a different brand that was more expensive and supposed to have more watts. I opened that one and at once knew it was a bad choice. It was flimsy quality and hardly ran. I immediately returned it and re-purchased this one. ... show more

The fan mechanisms appears to be backwards as we had to turn it around into feel any air. Regardless it aldoes not put out any air.
