    • Great For Laser Engraver Ventilation!

I have the Vivosun 4 inch fan and filter connected to a Comgrow laser engraver enclosure, which contains a Makeblock xTool D1 Laser engraver. This combination works great to evacuate and filter all of the smoke created when cutting and engraving with the laser. The only extra component that was required was a 3 inch to 4 inch adapter that enables the 4 inch vent pipe to connect to the 3 inch outlet on the Comgrow enclosure. The Vivosun fan is very quiet, and the xTool D1 laser's fan is actually louder than the Vivosun fan. I highly recommend this Vivosun ventilation system, as it works great, even if I am not using it for its intended purpose. ... show more

It’s a great system all around. Also the filter comes with a cover which I didn’t see when ordering it. The 4 stars is becasue when you mount it with the applied mount there is nothing that absorbs sound so when you go above the halfway point on the dial it’s vibrates and is real sticky audible. In my case it’s on the second floor so it’s amplified. Not too loud but I can hear it when I’m downstairs. I suspended it with the allied straps and now it’s just the sound of the exhaust from the fan. It’s wonderful and a great value for the money. With it came with more than two clamps since I had to duck tape the other areas. But all in all great ... show more

    • Have to start fan on high....

You wont be able to set it on low and put it on a timer. When i received it i plugged it in and it did not work no matter which way i turned the dial. Then i see on the backside of the dial box it says must start on high. Ok it works, its not defective. Then i realized i cannot set it on low and place on a timer, so i found a happy spot around medium that it would turn on with a timer, at least its not on full blast. I didnt use the dryer ducting, both the filter and the fan mate together perfectly, so i just hung them up side by side mated to eachother, and the fan exit was long enough to put through the tent drawstrings, outside drawstring wasnt easy but i got it to fit around the fan. Works good, hopefully long term as well for the price. Added bonus comes with a magnetic thermometer/hydrometer with touchscreen! Fancy. ... show more

Great for a 2x2 tent, paired with carbon filter located inside tent it does great. Not the quietest, sounds like a turbine but does have good air flow for small tent. A lot of people recommend 6 in, I've only ever had 4 in so I wouldn't know, but I don't have issues

Everything you need to vent your tent. The only problem is the fan is noisy at low speed. I'd have returned it if I wasn't too lazy to pack everything up again. I figured I'd generally run the fan at a high speed and not be so annoyed by the fan's questionable quality. You may do just as well with a no name brand for half the price. I paid more for the known brand and it doesn't live up to my expectations. ... show more
