  • Impressive!
I got 2 of these back in June 2021...it's now at the end of Nov 2024 and they still function greatly!! I use these to light up a room where the kitties have their litter boxes. I charge them daily and only use 1 bulb (out of 3 that each comes with) and they are sufficient in lighting up the room adequately (room is 10x10). I am very impressed at how well they've worked and lasted (still do!). Price has gone up a little since 2021 but it is worth the investment since it is solar powered and I don't have to use my electricity. They also double as a flashlight/lamp which is very bright. The ONLY thing I wish it is better is if the solar panel cable is usb so if it goes bad, I can use a different solar panel type to charge it. That versatility would have rounded this product off nicely! ... show more

  • Just what I wanted
I live on a large property that turns into a 'big dark' at night, and wanted some lights outside that are more substantial than the usual solar lights with tiny panels that die after a few hours. This unit works great, with plenty of light that lasts all night. I have a large solar generator with a big panel, but I wanted something smaller and less expensive just for outdoor lighting. This is perfect. A few things to know: 1. The power (blue button) has to be on for it to charge. Sounds simple, but I suspect that some of the 'dead unit' reviews might be from people trying to charge the unit without turning it on. 2. This is not a rough and tumble unit that you can throw in a pack. The case is ok, but it is very lightweight and dropping it from a height would be a no-no. It is not designed for backpacking. 3. As with all solar, angling the panel toward the sun will charge the unit faster. 4. The unit is 84Wh, which isn't a ton of power. It will run the lights and charge small devices, but a usb fan would drain it rapidly. 5. The panel can be left out in misty, damp conditions, but the battery box is not waterproof, so keep it dry. If you appreciate it for what it is, this is a great, inexpensive lighting unit for car/ family camping, power outages, sheds etc. The all in one, plug and play design is super simple, and a nice introduction to solar. Just don't expect more from it than what is was designed for. Update 4/14/21- Just a quick update on this unit. I have been using it daily for about 2 months now, and it is still working well. I wish the lights had sensors to turn off at dawn and on at dusk, but this unit wasn't really designed for daily use, so I can't complain much. That said, I am about to order a second one because the first one has worked so well. UPDATE- I have now had this unit for a year, and it is still going strong on solar alone with daily (read: nightly) use. I usually only use one bulb, but that is because I don't always remember to turn it off during the day. Both battery and panel are outside 24/7 (battery protected from rain, but housing gets damp), and they still work just fine. Highly recommend. ... show more

  • Very handy would recommend.
Style: 80Wh
Purchased this earlier in the year for camping purposes. Came in very handy when Hurricane Helene knocked out power for a week and a half. Between recharging my phone and use as a light source, as well as being able to generate solar power, it helped a bunch. Fairly lightweight and relatively small sized , so it was easy to keep out of the way. Cons: Hard to tell how much it has charged or how much charge is left. Solar panel doesn't come with supports so it can be annoying to get a good angles for peak sunlight collection. Overall, I recommend it. ... show more

  • Great. Update a year later.
I HAD TO UPDATE THIS A YEAR LATER.. CHANGED FROM 4 STARS TO 5.. THIS GUY I HAD LEFT IN MY GARDEN AREA AND FORGOT ABOUT IT. IN EXTREME HEAT AND A LOT OF RAIN.. WENT TO GET IT FOR CAMPING LAST WEEK AND IT STILL WORKS GREAT... This is a great USB charger port and light station.. I took it on a cub scout group camping trip with my son and someone asked me in the morning how I had my tent so bright.. I love that it had the solar panel with it so I didn't have to spend more money buying that separately. The only things that I was disappointed in and almost caused me not to buy was that the solar panel wasn't very strong and the box didn't have a regular 2 prong plug in. I would have loved to have taken an electric heater instead of propane.. but the lights lasted and the tablet stayed charged for our movie at night and so did my phone. It was super small, lightweight and worked like it said it would. 4 starts because they need to offer this with the regular plug and maybe 60wt panel. The pictures are of with it turned on using 2 of the hanging lights as well as the light on the box. I had no need for the 3 hanging light so didn't plug it in. The other picture is of the lights off. ... show more

  • Lightweight nifty phone charger or light
Used this little thing on a 4 day primitive camping trip last weekend. Charged it up before we left via wall outlet. The final light never stopped blinking on that charge so I'm unsure on if that's a slight defect or normal. We had quite a bit of rain so I didn't get to use my solar panel but maybe half an hour. So I can't say much on it. The lights are stupid bright. They were amazing. They do seem to drain the battery pretty fast though. One of the hanging lights lit my huge tent up so bright I had to turn it off to be courteous to our campsite neighbors lol. Charged my phone no issues. My phone has usbc turbo charging and I brought a turbo cable. I was shocked that it turbo charged my phone. Couple of our pals with us had micro usb chargers for their phones and their phones didn't seem to charge very quick. In fact one kept ringing on and off like you were first connecting it so it barely charged. I believe this was a cord issue tho and not battery. Definitely a lightweight lil battery and I think good bang for your buck if you just need something to charge phones and maybe occasional lights while camping or power outage. We didn't completely kill it during our trip but we did get down to the red light at one point. However after turning it off and back on to charge phone a little bit it had gone up to two green lights (no charging for the battery had occurred due to rain).. ?? That was confusing but delightful lol. ... show more
