We put together one chair and tried it on. The chair is not sturdy , squeaky noise every time you move in the chair and even though all screws are tightened chair is still wably. Size: seat size is for persons up to size 16 in pants. So, it is not a big chair. Wood: pine, thin, and will probably fall apart after one season. Manufacturer’ recommends to use this chair in shady spots to prevent fading out. From the written above, if i want these chairs to sustain longer, i should put them in the shade to prevent fading and avoid seating on them to prevent them from falling apart which defeats the purpose. ... show more

These are beautiful 'looking' chairs, but the folding mechanism with wood material is not a wise design. We found some pieces already split during assembly and now just 2 months of use and one of the bolts has split the wood. I purchased an extended warranty but now have the hassle of contacting the manufacturer since we are beyond the 30 day window. I do not recommend this product. ... show more

I read the reviews beforehand and people either loved or hated them, so I already knew it was a 50/50 shot. The instructions say to make sure the pilot holes line up correctly, but after putting both front legs on, I realized their pilot holes were uneven. They weren’t even a little uneven, I wish I had taken a picture of how lopsided the seat was. I had to drill my own pilot hole about two inches below the original for the left leg to make the chair sit balanced. The wood is cheap, but it’s also a $50 Adirondack chair and I expected this. If you’re looking for something that looks finished, bolts and screws covered up, this is not for you. The bolt that secures the armrest to the legs sticks out and catches my pockets every time I sit in it. It’s not a deal breaker, the chair is decent as far as comfort goes, but it is annoying. The instructions aren’t consistent either, on one page part “b” is a picture of a bolt and washer, on the next it’ll have a completely different part picture next to part “b.” Ultimately it looks just like the picture and good on the porch until you get up close and see the details, a little smaller than most Adirondacks you see in the store, less sturdy and you can tell when you sit down. However, it’s not uncomfortable—especially once I put the cushion in it. Had the pilot hole lined up, I’d say the value for the price was very fair. If I didn’t have the tools to fix it, I would have been very frustrated and probably returned it. I bought two, so I’m hoping either nothing’s wrong with the second one or it’s at least just the pilot hole like the first. ... show more
