Feels solid when you sit in it, although I should have paid more attention to the dimensions as it is definitely one of the smaller Adirondack chairs I've sat in. I got the Walnut stain which is attractive. The alignment between the back brace, supports, and arms is a bit off (see the picture) but is not visible looking down on the chair and so far it doesn't seem to matter. Use an electric screwdriver to put it together and a wrench more substantial than the skinny one they supply. ... show more

I recently bought this black solid wood chair, and I’m overall satisfied with it. The finish is truly great, giving it a polished look. The chair's shape is also quite nice. One of the benefits I found was that it was relatively easy to assemble. The instructions were clear, and I had it put together in no time. This aspect certainly added to its appeal. The construction is sturdy if not primitive, with many screws showing. The chairs should have another coat of paint, as wherever there is a knot in the wood or or center wood, the sap discolors the paint to a yellowish brown. I will have to paint them to look presentable.

We have some wicker chairs with overstuffed outdoor pads, sitting in them eventually you slouch out. The Adirondack chair is so comfortable, I feel well supported while in a relaxed position. It comes about 1/2 way assembled, all the slates are pre installed. Putting the rest of the pieces together is self expanatory. But please refer to the pictures, as there are right and left pieces. Please have an electric screw gun, it comes with a disposable wrench. It sits well on our flagstone patio ans sits flat on the concrete with no rocking or creaking, its solid. I feel confident dropping my 235 lbs. of bulk onto it with no worries. ... show more
