This is the best little doorbell. I live in Chicago and put the bell on my gate outside. I thought it wouldn't work in the cold and bad weather but thought for the price I would try it instead of paying 100's for an electrician. It made it through the winter and still works. Love it!

For a cheap doorbell that isn't from the big box stores, this will work. I had been going through doorbells from lowes/home depot every few months. The batteries just kept dying until I said screw it, no more doorbells, no one really uses it anyways. Fast forward a couple years, I've changed my mind. I didn't want anything fancy, no special features, just something I could screw into the wall outside and hear clearly enough inside to let me know someone was there. This fits the bill. It's black, it hides nicely. Now, there's some features I didn't know to look out for, that I absolutely should have seen coming with this: (1) It takes up most of the plug on the wall. Maybe your other cords will still fit, but many of mine did not and I had to work around it. I was SO CLOSE to returning it for this reason alone. (2) This is a cheap piece of plastic. As such it feels thin and flimsy. Opening up the button piece to access the battery resulted in breaking the tabs. You have to open this thing to remove the battery insulator to make it work, so it should not have resulted in damage already, but here we are. I was gentle with it, but the way this is designed, there is just no way around it. Otherwise, it has a stupid amount of ringtones to choose from, such as dogs barking to whatever symphonies they could fit. Honestly, I just wanted the doorbell (ding-dong) tone and that was all. Oddly enough, no holiday themed tones (no rudolph or jingle bells for example and no creepy/scary stuff for halloween). I did have fun regaling my wife with the different tones until she walked out of the room though. Two receivers are nice. I can put one upstairs and one downstairs. Everything was synced/connected when I opened the box, so there was no hassle there. I would have preferred a battery option for the indoor units, but apparently those are hard to find. Lasted about 3 years. Replaced battery six months ago and it worked for a while. Replaced battery again, but it still won’t work. It’s also very difficult to get to the battery and remove it.

Purchased August 27, 2019 and installed product right away. It came with an adhesive that stuck to my siding easily. As of January 2021 it is still on and working. I hadn't read the description correctly when ordering. It has only one door bell and two of the plugin ringer receivers to hear it; I thought I was ordering two doorbells for each side of the house. I put the second plugin ringer receiver in the detached garage for when I'm working out there to hear people ring at the front of the house but the range must be too far because I wasn't able to hear it ring out there. So if you are looking for a doorbell with a long range this probably isn't the best product for you. I'm not sure what to do with the second receiver, maybe if I had an indoor shop with loud equipment or a sound proof room it would be good in there for a second receiver but as is, I can hear the main ringer anywhere in the house and the range isn't long enough to use in the garage studio. I gave the product 5 stars for ease of use, easy installation, quality and the kiddos love the different ring tones and songs. ... show more
